My wife says im obsessed with the boards

I tol my wife Julie had her baby and got "the look", dont care, im obsessed, just glad I have you all to help me through my "addiction":surfweb:

I love these boards and the DisUnplugged! My wife likes Disney and takes interest in my interest but she doesnt listen to the shows or surf these boards.

So I started chatting last night, it was great, ran into Kevin and Mindy, what a great time, laughed my butt off, only problem is I have to hide it... Im a closet chatter..... any tips?

I am always getting "the look" from DH and the thing is I just wish he would listen to the podcasts because I know he would love them :confused3

The best look I ever got was then we were in WDW last year and I covered his back pack in LGMH and my DIS Unplugged pin and then told him random strangers may talk to him about the DIS :lmao: No one came near though :lmao:

Im a closet chatter

Where's the tag fairy when you need 'em?

I have to say, DW leaned over during chat one night and watched for five minutes then gave up saying it was impossible to follow.

I'm finally able to come out of the chat closet.

it does move pretty fast.. kinda confusing. for like 30 minutes, i thought mindy was talking about corey's big girl panties last night, turned out I was WAYYYYYYY wrong, just too much typing goin on!! (Sorry Corey!):rotfl:

I am lucky to have a supportive DH...he does listen to my stories about the podcast and boards.
Anytime I have a question about ANYTHING he always tells me to ask the "almighty boards" as quoted in my tag!! For the board knows all!! :goodvibes

I can't believe I missed it - I was watching the boards and a basketball game (college, not pro, never pro) and thinking, "the boards sure are quiet tonight." Finally I remember it was chat.

My wife hates the boards. cant wait for WDW, but doesnt appreciate the planning Ive doon. How can I make her understand?

I can't answer for you but the comments that have been made in my household are words to the effect of "do we really need to do all that much planning for Disney World?" and "it is a vacation, right?" Now, the last trip was much more relaxing - perhaps because I did cut back on the commando touring plan.

I don't think you can. Not really. It would be nice if your wife appreciated the hard work you've done to plan your trip but really the well planned, enjoyable trip is the real reward. Just make sure you don't over plan or once you're at WDW, be unwilling to change. It's about the trip not the plan. The saying that I try to keep in mind when planning is "don't make the perfect the enemy of the good".

Ive never planned a trip like this, Is there a big "letdown" period after the trip is over????

Hi Jon,

Just checking to see how the planning is going.

Still getting "the look"?

Definitely. The usual cure is to start planning the next trip. :rotfl: After our second trip we bought into DVC. Now we always know there will be another trip.

forever!! Im not sure what its going to take to make her happy, probably when she sees all of the little inexpensive :flower3: upgrades ive made to our trip to "spice" it up a little bit like floral delivery, wishes cruise, club level at Royal pacific Univ for two nights, limo service from POFQ to RPR and from RPR to MCO. I think shell apprec. after she sees the end results of a perfect vacation..

A wise man once told me though, with marriage, you can either be right or happy, not both..:beach:

Studies confirm - happy marriages are where man agrees with the wife, enthusiastically. (I heard it on NPR.)

You are correct. :thumbsup2
Mama ain't happy, then no ones happy....

Only a true Disney fan understands the need to have Disney in your life somehow, someway everyday.

Have fun with your trip planning.

DH was on the boards for about 9 months before me. ;)
I am a gamer.
He said do something with your time. :hourglass
Go on the boards, you can talk about anything you want to. :rotfl2:
So I tried it.
Now I am on everyday.
It's a whole new world, and has help greatly with the trip planning. :thumbsup2
Get her on and you won't be able to get her off.
P.S. Kevin is right have her try and make a dining ressie.
