because I bought a Star Wars t-shirt at Target.

My husband bought a Transformers shirt there. He is 36 and still rockin' some Optimus Prime!
Nothing wrong with sportin' some storm troopers. Apparently nerdy is the new cool. :)

that's o.k.-right now dh's and dd's wardrobe is pretty much interchangable (in fact she keeps stealing his t's and he her's).

'nerd' is definatly in again-dd just got a ferris bueller t, and one from animal house that dh will end up borrowing (good thing she likes her t's in men's xl:rotfl:).

i suspect most of my holiday shopping will be on-line from 'think geek', '80's t's', and the site i've got pagemarked where some obsessive person watches every episode of 'big bang theory', tracks the t-shirts the guys wear and then lists them and provides links on where to purchase:rotfl::rotfl: (dh adores his rock/paper/scissors/spock i got him last year).

Would that be sheldonshirts.com? We are fans of that one at our house too! Love us some Sheldon!!

I laugh at my husband's clothes choices too- Charlie Brown (yellow with the brown zig-zag line) shirt, a couple of Punisher shirts, Hawaiian shirts that defy description they are so loud and obnoxious.

But...

Recently, he called me from Afghanistan and asked me to donate some of his clothes to a family who had a house fire. I was ecstatic at the thought of getting rid of some of the worst ones. I went through his closet and couldn't get rid of that stuff! I guess I love his goofy style...

dd realy wants me to get her one of the 'soft kitty' t's that have sheldon's lullaby printed on them:laughing:

i can't bring myself to toss out old t-shirts unless they are absolutly trashed esp. old concert/band/movie/comic book themed ones-they bring back memories. it's payed off with dd loving to wear dad's old clash, ramones and others.

recently i was thinking that once dd phases out of it i might have to just toss some of the ones that are realy ragged, but then i saw an ad for a place you can ship your old t's to and pay to make a memory quilt-that might a realy fun item.

Thanks! You have just given me a great idea!
Now any idea on what to do with those shoes that are duct taped together?!?!

i'm sure there are down on their luck scarecrows this time of year who would adore those shoes:rotfl: that-or use them as planters (not my idea of landscaping, but once dirt, fertilizer and water have sat in them for a week or so they won't be as appealing to him to wear).

OP I feel you. My DH laughed at me a few years ago when I got excited that they were releasing Star Wars stamps. He STILL mentions it to this day!

because I bought a Star Wars t-shirt at Target.

I yell at mine....when he buys only one. He knows that when he finds a good Star Wars t-shirt, he had better make sure he gets one for himself and one for the 15 year old too.

Between shopping at Target and Hot Topic, DH and DS have some awsome Star Wars t-shirts.

Star Wars rocks. DFi and I are thinking of putting some Star Wars touches into our wedding...like our recessional after the ceremony; we'd like the Imperial March to be played. One really far out idea that we have is to name the tables after Star Wars planets..."Where are you sitting?" "Um, Tattooine..." "Seems that I'm at Alderaan..."

I'm also writing a paper on ancient Greece for my western civ. class...since they're both masters of the epic saga, I'm trying to compare Homer to George Lucas :teeth:

I just bought a Tron shirt at Disneyland... I decided to forgo the Star Wars and Star Trek shirts, and it was a painful decision to make. ;p

If I were to have a wedding where I walked down an aisle (not likely), I'd want the Star Wars Theme to be played (boyfriend does not agree). I also want Han and Leia cake toppers (boyfriend also does not agree). [Boyfriend LIKES Star Wars, so I don't see what's with all the Star Wars hate for our wedding.] Naming the tables after Star Wars planets is an EXCELLENT idea... Hoth, Bespin, Alderaan, Endor, Yavin-4, Coruscant, Tatooine, Naboo, Dagobah... yeah, you definitely have enough material there!

My husband is the proud owner of a Super Mario Bros t-shirt collection...that little mushroom thing, Yoshi and of course, Mario himself.

dh and i had a very traditional wedding, with very traditional wedding music, well......except for one instrumental piece during the ceremony. very few people realized except for our nerdy friends that what they were listening to was the love theme from superman:rotfl:

i think a star wars themed wedding would be fun-you know there's a company that will take your photographs and make custom star wars wedding cake toppers (your face on leia and han solo's bodies)-that could be very cool.
