Currently visiting BLT for 2 nights to visit MK today and embark on the DCL Fantasy tomorrow.

My wife wanted nothing to do with buying at BLT at first but after staying here and experiencing the short walk to MK in the morning, quick AC monorail ride back for midday lunch (pickup from Steakhouse 71 which we ate in our 2 bedroom villa) she is now a convert.

We both love the layout of the 2 bedroom, the 3 bathrooms and considering the upcoming refurb I was expecting the room took a lot older than it is.
Even the sofa bad isn’t terrible.

Definitely adding a BLT contract to the portfolio now! Amazing location.

I can’t believe how much we did in 2h30! Tiana, Pirates, Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, Under the Sea and 7 Dwarfs. Plus we met Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto at breakfast so the kids already feel like they’ve met so many. Glorious day!

Location and villa room size/#ofbathrooms…. at $120pp and with reasonable dues it’s a great value….

We love BLT and look forward to returning soon. The studios are disappointing, IMHO, but the larger units are wonderfully comfortable. The extra full bathroom is a major convenience. And I think the location is unmatched.

That almost makes me want to buy a resale contract at BLT.

I have Riviera direct and I want a little more but I sort of hate the thought of having to do a split stay every trip.

If I have all direct riviera I can do a split stay if I want but I don’t have to.

You can also bank or borrow each contract every other year so you don’t split stay.

Same here. We were not BLT fans till our first stay. Have always stayed in bedroom suites. MK is DW favorite park. Being able to walk back to the room any time during the day is a game changer. And it’s a bit of fun catching the monorail to EPCOT and back for the day.

Stayed there for the first time in May and definitely feel like it's time for the refurb (was in a studio) but the location in proximity to MK is pretty amazing. It felt magical to step out onto that walkway to the main building and see Cinderella castle and Space Mountain THAT close. The walkway to MK is great as I like to be in control of my own destiny and not rely on the monorail.

I am thankful the refurb is coming soon as the sliding door to the shower area was literally almost falling off and my room had zero cell reception. I could use the wifi on my laptop without any issues but nope couldn't get anything on my phone. I also feel like both pool areas are small but I love the beach area where you can step out and watch the Electrical Water Pageant.

Our first home resort and still one of our favorites. Excited about the refurb but typically stay once a year and not felt like the rooms were in rough shape. The extra bathroom is always so helpful for us in the morning. The walk can’t be beat and walking over to Contemporary into the hustle and bustle is awesome. And like others say, the constant views of MK just steps away makes it magical in our book.

Direct owner since 2008. Location, Location, Location. Nothing better than riding the monorail only when you want to and walking back after fireworks, a special event party, or just because. The convenience can’t be beat. As someone who grew up with Poly trips in the 1970s, the magic of Poly is near and dear to my heart, but everything is so much harder there because of the crowds. I can only imagine after the Poly tower opens. Still do Poly trips for nostalgia reasons, but nothing beats walking by jammed pack transportation stations after a late night having a nice private conversation with just your family. Those who know BLT, know. Those who never tried BLT - Thank you. Better for the BLT owners.

Ok…. so then just buy more RIV…. or don’t…

I'm curious, what is the difference in distance walking to BLT vs. VGF? Is BLT half as far?

The studios I'm not fond of but anything 1+ bedroom is clutch with the extra bathroom and can't beat that walk! Looking forward to see what they cook up for the refurb. Glad you had a great trip! We'll be on the Fantasy RIGHT after you! Boarding Aug 10th. Bon Voyage!

Agreed. That extra bathroom is amazing. Can't wait to see the rooms after getting spruced up next year.

VDH is about 0.55 mi on foot to Disneyland gates. VGC to DCA… about 0.05 mi (or about 250 feet if you prefer. Haha).
This gives me an idea. I’ve not seen a comprehensive list of all the resorts and their walking distances to the nearest Disney park. I’ll get it started.

Aulani to Disneyland 2,588 miles, Tokyo DL 3,827, or WDW if you prefer 4,743.
