My Weird, Wild, & Wonderful Pre-Trippie! #256: I'm back!

Hello to myself and anyone who is still kind and benevolent enough to be reading this . . .

I can't believe we've only got 2 Stinkin' Days until this trip! My sister told me that the girls are already packing, even though the rest of us have to wait until the night before so we have enough clean clothes.

Yesterday, I got my Sea Bands in the mail. According to all of the reviews on Amazon.com, they are supposed to work wonders for motion and morning sickness. The key, however, is to make sure that they are hitting the correct pressure points in your wrists. I tried mine on last night, and I'm not sure they're doing anything. Maybe I'm not finding my pressure point? :confused3 I don't know.

What else? I have a massive to do list--I hope I can get everything done in the next two days.

Wish me luck! :wizard:

Two days--that's awesome!!!

If you can get those bands on your pressure point, you will love them. My mom suffers horribly from motion sickness; she gets sick just riding in the backseat of a car. When she and my dad cruised with us, she wore the bands and never had a problem. They are great!

It is so good to know that the bands work! I can't imagine how cool it must be to fly on an airplane and read a book like normal people! I'm either too sick to look at anything or too drugged from whatever travel drugs I'm taking to be conscious.

Well folks (or folk, since it might just be me reading this!), the time has come . . . . . .

ONE DAY!!!!!!!!!

I cannot believe it! And I'm super miffed because I actually have a ton of stuff to do at work today, instead of making trip lists and looking stuff up on the Internet. What dumb luck! :headache:

Here's the funny story of the day:
So I got home from work last night and DH had already started packing (he's much more organized than me). Then he left to go play softball. I can't pack yet, because I have to do a giant load of laundry first.

So, I started making big piles of laundry on the bed and was thinking that if I had time I could do some laundry.

Well, I had a mini-crisis because I had put my Disney Rewards card and my new credit card on the kitchen counter so that I could call and activate them. But when I tried to find them, they weren't on the counter! I looked in the drawers, in my bags, in the trash can, everywhere! I was absolutely freaked out because we've had people in our house painting and fixing things, and I was worried someone could have taken the cards or that we accidentally threw them in the garbage.

I finally grabbed a flashlight and went out to the dumpster. I was just about ready to start diving when DH called to say that he put them in his wallet because he was worried about them being on the counter. What a relief! :yay:

But, since I'd wasted all of that time looking for the cards, I didn't have time to do laundry. So, instead of throwing all of my sorted laundry back into the hamper, I decided to stuff it in my suitcase until tomorrow.

DH comes home, sees that there are clothes in my suitcase, and for a moment is impressed. But then he opens up the suitcase and sees that everything's been thrown in there in a giant heap! I think for a small moment, he thought that's actually how I packed my clothes! He's been teasing me about it since.

One more thing: I scheduled a very special phone call from :tigger: for DH in the morning. I think it will be cool, even though I don't know what DH is going to think.

Oh yeah . . . .did I mention I'm leaving in
ONE DAY???????? :rockband:

ONE DAY!?!?!

YAY!!!!!!

That's so funny that your DH thought you just threw all your clothes in the suitcase as a method of packing! He must have thought you had gone crazy!

Emily! I am SOOOOO excited for you! Dumb ole work though, making you do work stuff today! Don't they know you have better things to do?

Glad to see you posting again! The sad thing is my DH would totally expect me to do something like that--I'm not the most organized kid on the block! :sad2:

Thanks Tracy! I can't believe my work either! I'm having to take lots of breaks today, because it's very hard to concentrate.

How are you doing?

Well, here it is--the end of my pre-trippie!

I'm getting a little misty thinking about the good times of posting stuff and then other people posting other stuff. It was really nice.

I hope that I can deliver with a lovely trip report after my depressing return next week.

Whatever will I do without my DIS for seven whole days? I hope actually being IN THE PARK will suffice! ;)

OK, well this is me . . . signing off.

Happy trails!

Have a wonderful time! Enjoy every minute of it!

And remember every minute of it because we're all going to want to hear about it when you return!

HI! I have "seen" you lots on Jenny's thread and thought I would come over and say HI!:goodvibes ONE DAY!! :woohoo:

 I can't believe it is finally time! We are definitely gonna call you! I am thinking Monday... Well, I will actually probably call before then, cause I can't wait to meet you! I promise to give you the biggest bear hug EVER!!! :rotfl2: ;) Just teasing!

Emily have a wonderful, safe, & relaxing trip to the World!!! I hope we run into you!!

I am ALREADY having trouble sleeping...and I leave the day AFTER tomorrow! Sorry I was lagging....I got sick and fell way behind on all my subscribed reports! But I hope I run into you in the World!

Well, I'm back! :goodvibes

A full trip report will be coming . . . soonish, but a good time was had by all. I'm still recovering from a late return last night and a weird turn of events that will be discussed in my trippie.

More later!
