Roger and I and the kids had a pipe burst on Saturday afternoon and our water got contaminated. With it being Labor Day weekend, hotel rooms were either very difficult to find or extremely expensive. Well, my ex in-laws happened to call to check on the kids. I told them that I'm not going to help them with what I talked to the board about the other day and they were understanding. I then told them what was going on and they invited all of us to come stay with them for the weekend. I was reluctant at first but my ex-FIL convinced me that he still thinks of me as his daughte so it wouldn't be awkward at all (it would just be like if something like this happened to his daughter.) So, we accepted and spent the weekend with them.....believe it or not, it wasn't awkward. My ex-IL's truly are good people that I'll always be thankful to have in my life and the lives of my children.
