I'm still kinda high on my weekend. So I decided to tell you guys about it, so maybe it can make me a little less giggly if I talk about it some. lol.
So Friday, we left my house at 7am for Houston (it's about 3 1/2 hours away.) We went to the Houston Zoo.
When chilled out in the hotel for a while, then started getting dressed around 4:30pm. We walked to the Houston Pavilion and walked around the two story Books A Million. That alone was amazing for me. lol. I'm from a town that has less than 20,000 people. VERY small town. So seeing a two story BAM was just awesome!
Then we had reservations at the House of Blues at 6:30. I was sooo nauseated so I didn't really eat anything. When we finished we walked up to the 3rd floor of the HOB and got in line for the Gary Allan concert.
Since we ate at the HOB we got the "pass the line" and go in before the other people.
Once we got in the bar place, we stood in front of the stage for an hour waiting for Gary Allan to come out. At EXACTLY 9pm his music started playing and he walked out. I, of coarse, got all giggly and giddy like a school girl.
So he sang, rocked out, blahblahblah. Then I looked over about the third song and saw this old women sitting in a wheel chair. I'm talking like in her 80's. She was throwing her hands in the hair going along with the music. She was having the BEST time. It was so cute. She brought him flowers and he gave her one of her guitar picks, and at the end he signed their playlist sheet of paper and gave it to her.
He sang some more and talked and everything.
The entire time I had this DRUNK women and man in front of us. By about the last third of it, she stood behind him to hold onto him cause she was about to pass out. So my mom grabbed me and like pushed me in front of her. Then, I had ONE person in front of me. Just ONE!
He throws out guitar picks that he's using to the people. I have wanted one since the first concert! He through one out way and every body was like going crazy trying to find it. Then my mom started tapping on my shoulder, and she pointed to the ground. It had fell right in front of her and she had stepped on it so no one would see it. So yay, I got a pick finally!
He left one time, then everyone started going CRAZY, chanting his name. So of coarse he came back out and played a few more songs.
So my weekend was ahhh-mazing! I'm counting down till his next concert for us. 76 days!

(Ehh.. my computer is going slow so thats all I'm gonna post. They're all on my FB for the people I'm friends with.
I know, most of you probably don't know who he is. He is a VERY quite kinda country singer, He doesn't go to award shows anymore. He's just started doing big stadiums again. His wife committed suicide in 2004. So since then he's kinda kept out of the spotlight. A lot of his songs are kinda sad, he writes his own songs so a lot of them have to do with dealing with the pain and everything. He has like two sweet love songs. All the rest are either kinda sad or upbeat. He's not like Tim McGraw, Kenny, etc. He's more rockish kinda hard core.
Oh yeah, one part of my weekend did kinda suck. The Gators came back at the VERY last minute and one with a freakin field goal! Ugh. Hahaha Sonya (;
