Hello Disney friends!

Through my eyes and mind WDW is an amazing place. I want to begin sharing my solo experiences on how Disney has become a big part of my life.

First a little bit about myself. I'm currently a 38 year old single male, but feel and look younger. I keep an active lifestyle, but do not deprive myself of some of my favorite treats i.e. chocolate chip cookies, brownie sundaes. After graduating from college with an advertising degree I worked in NYC for about a year in advertising. I loved being a part of the creative process of developing print, radio, and TV ads. However, I felt I had more to offer of myself and I went back to get my masters in teaching.
I'm now in my 12th year teaching math to 8th graders...I know what you're thinking, some career move. When I first started teaching I brought my creative abilities to the classroom and enjoyed every moment. In the last few years things have changed a bit in the education world and I find myself using less of my creativity. I guess you could say I'm in a bit of a crossroad situation...more on this so stay tuned.

Now that you have some background info. I'll begin with my solo Disney adventures. It all started as a I was approaching my 30th birthday. My mom asked me if I wanted a party, I said no and told her I'm booking a trip to WDW by myself to celebrate my 30th birthday. So I planned the trip all by myself and flew down to Disney a week after my birthday in February of 2007. This was the first time I traveled solo and I was really excited. My resort of choice was CS. This has become my favorite resort. I didn't know how this I trip was going to influence my life. From the moment the plane landed the journey of traveling solo to WDW was about to begin and my life would never be the same. As I made my way to the magical express area I couldn't believe how I completely forgot I was by myself. I boarded the magical express bus and on my way to CS I went. I remember pulling up to the resort and immediately feeling the southwest Mexican vibe. I loved it! The doors to the main lobby opened and there was the fountain. I checked in to my room and the staff was pleasant and warming. My room was located in the Casitas, which is the area I always request from now on. I love the proximity to the Spa & Fitness center and main lobby. As I walked along the path towards the Casitas, I was taking the sights of the beauty of the resort. I got to my room and it was exactly my taste. I unpacked, went outside my room which had a great view of the water and just cleared my mind before exploring the resort a little before heading out to the parks...to be continued.

Dream big...that's what Walt would want!
