My way too short solo adventure TR - Funny Airport update...

As long as I'm at it, how about older kids in strollers. I'm sorry, if they are able to walk, they should walk.

I have to say something regarding this comment. My son is 5 years old, but looks at least 2 years older. Yes, he is perfectly capable of walking, so he does not look handicapped in any way shape or form. I'm sure if you saw him in his stroller, you might think -- "why is that kid in a stroller, he should be walking." However, my son has sensory integration issues (among other things) and sometimes needs his stroller as a 'safe haven' when things sometimes overwhelm him. Having his stroller makes the difference between going to WDW and not going. To the poster, my comment is not to admonish, but rather to educate, so no flames intended. :goodvibes

Having said that, I just have to say that I have enjoyed reading your trip report and can't wait to hear about your wedding. If I were to ever get married again (been divorced for a while), I plan to do it at Disney. I hope you had a safe trip back to your "reality home".

Much appreciated! I will be doing a full trip report on my wedding trip - not sure where I'll post it but I'll be sure to link it over here for anyone who is interested in following along. It won't likely be a "live TR" as I think my hubby-to-be might have issues with me running into the room and immediately logging on like I did this trip! But I plan to keep a journal to remember the funny stories/observations along the way!

As for the stroller comment, I appreciate that you included your perspective...I think we all tend to generalize sometimes when it comes to those things that frustrate or annoy us...which isn't right. I do understand that there are reasons for stroller, wheelchairs, ECVs which are sometiumes not apprent to the person just walking by and I try to appreciate that perspective.

Thanks again for reading along!

By the way - earlier in this report I said I was staying at Jambo again on my honeymoon...I'm actually staying at both due to some reservations being through DVC and some through the DFTW department. My next trip is as follows:

Sept 18-25: BWV Standard Studio (with one night in a 1 BDRM for the bridal party the night before the wedding)
Sept 25: Polynesian
Sept 26-30: Cruise on the Wonder
Sept 30-Oct 3: AKV Kidani
Oct 3 and 4: AKV Jambo

Luckily Disney makes moving easy - :rotfl:

Really enjoyed your report. It was both funny and informative. Good luck preping for the wedding.
