My Wait List came through. . .do I need to call and change DME reservation myself?

or does MS automatically update the DME reservation to reflect the resort change? We haven't received any documents yet, and our trip is in January.

I don't know if they update automatically or not. I would call just for the peace of mind.

I would call DME direct. Sometimes what is displayed to Member Services is not the same information that DME receives. Last week we received two DME packets for our trip next month. One had us staying at the BWVs and the other at the BCVs. The packet also had our DS arriving a day earlier then planned and since he is coming from a different state he should have been mailed his own packet. MS had no clue why. I called DME and they corrected their records and had me mail him the bar code page from our book along with his luggage tags.

We have learned that as wonderful as Disney is, learning the ropes and double checking on things, makes for a much happier vacation.

Just wanted to let you know what happened. . .It may help someone .

I called DME first. I was asked my name and date of arrival---NOT a confirmation number. The CM told me that there was nothing there and asked me if I was sure I made a reservation . She wasn't that helpful, but she suggested that I call DVC since that is how I booked ME in the first place.

I called and got a very helpful CM named William. He said that everyone should check all their new info with MS directly if one finds out that a wait list comes through on the site. Thank God all the hotel info was correct, since I asked about that first. He checked my DME reservation in detail (name spellings, flight number and carrier), and the DME confirmation number changed to my new resort reservation number. . .which is what is supposed to happen. MS had all my airline info correct and correctly booked, and William had no idea why DME direct was showing nothing.

It really makes a world of difference to get a knowledgeable CM who seems to care a bit!!

Now that MS has things right, I would check with DME once again to verify that they received their information.

Plus, don't forget to make sure that MS puts your address in the system. They had taken all of my flight info, but never entered the address in the form, so the paperwork was never sent! I finally did receive everything, but only after calling again about it.
