The Wedding Pavilion hosted a Royal Sleepover this morning to watch the Royal Wedding. After the wedding the Fairy Godmother used her magic to start the fireworks.

You should be. As a American, not sure why people are so into it, other than the Fairytale setting, etc. My Grandmother who is now in heaven was from England, married a World War 2 American GI, today got me thinking of her!!!

Since our Constitution expressly forbids nobility, I have no idea why Americans are interested in the royal family. I'm also not sure why the British people continue to subjugate themselves when they don't need to. The days of nobility and royalty should be over. They are left over relics from the days when colonization and slavery were also considered grand ideas. Just because Disney has royalty, and it works for them, doesn't mean it's acceptable in modern society. Flame me if you want...

Subjugate themselves to what exactly? You do realize that the UK is a constitutional monarchy, and a democracy?

As it's not your society, who are you to judge it, particularly as you seem to know close to nothing about it? It's not as if Texas has had an unblemished history itself.

A constitutional monarchy? Is that what they call "noble blood being superior". Hmmm. I do realize they have a democratic government, that being the reason they don't have to subjugate themselves to a monarchy. The monarchy doesn't govern, it only spends the money like it does. Texas has had dark days in it's past, like slavery for instance, but we no longer have slavery. The UK is better than some 3rd world country, they shouldn't have this antiquated notion of royal bloodlines and birth rights to rule. And for that matter, how do you know I'm not British?
