Hey there everyone! Welcome to my report!
My name is Diane and my partners name is James! We're college people living in Florida, loving Disney and motorcycles! We've been together over a year now and we're planning our first big trip away from our town together! And to Walt Disney World, no less! We have very different park touring styles and planning ideals, but I'm the Disney expert in the family so I'm making the reservations and all the plans to mostly my liking! He's just happy to come along for the ride

This is my first official, all about having a good time, yet organized planning months in advanced, favorite time of the year Disney trip! We've both been to the World with family and friends, but this is our first time going together, alone! He's just as big of a fan of Disney as I am, without all the intense planning and research. I call him a casual Disney fanatic. After all, he's the one with a massive pin collection!
We've both lived in Florida all our lives and are Passholders, even though its been at least 2 years since either of us have gone to WDW. We decided at the beginning of the year that we would be going during Christmastime, more specifically, the first week of December, so we started the Disney fund! So far, we've paid off our passes, and bought MVMCP tickets! We're about 80% of the way with the hotel res., but we've still got 5 months and a few weeks, so we're not worried about that!
I've been doing my online research, talking to other Disney aficionados, lurking around on forums...

So, I'm finally ready to take hundreds of scribbled notes and reservation emails and compile them into this report!
I've got most of what we're doing already figured out, with the exception of a daily itinerary. Mostly, I have the where, when and how long sorted!
The Where: On-site, for sure. The benefits are innumerable and we’re passholders so it’s only obvious that’s exactly where we wanna be

James sneers at big hotels, "pfft, AMENITIES!" he scoffs when I even try to bring up the idea of POFQ. But, he's always been that way and I've known from the beginning that the Toy Story section of the All Stars Movie hotel is where we would try to end up. But, it's Disney, so I'm happy where ever we are! Plus, more money for turkey legs!
How Long: SIX ENTIRE DAYS! Wednesday-Monday. I’m actually thinking if we can get into the room at 6-7 am on Tuesday, we can add an extra day at the parks without adding an extra night at the hotel. Most Disney people I've spoken to have assured me I can get into the room by 7 am, as long as I speak with the hotel staff prior to our arrival. So, we’ll see about that.
When: The first week of December, check-in on the 1st, check-out on the 8th. It's just a few days into the cheerleading competitions I hear so much about, but we live in a huge tourist town, so mass groups of loud teenagers isn't uncommon in our world. I love me some Christmas, too! Our MVMCP tickets are for Dec. 3rd! It's a Thursday, so we're thinking it'll be low crowds and walk on rides for hours

I have one ADR so far, it's for Tokyo Dining in the World Showcase! I've never actually been to the World Showcase

It seems like every time I go to EPCOT, it's at night and I always miss it! This year, I've made a point to have a reservation for dinner, in a pretty good spot to see Illuminations, too! (from what I hear, at least!

I'm gonna try to make reservations for 'Ohana sometime in our week, but we'll see how that goes!
If you've made it all the way down here, thank you for reading!! I'd love to read any comments or answer any questions you guys may have! I'll update this as necessary and give a little bio about James and I later, so you can see how different we really are in our touring styles!

Thanks!

D
