So, I got an email this morning from our wickedly awesome travel agent, Christine. It's her day off today, so I was thinking she'd call Disney Dining tomorrow, right? Well, wrong! She made the call on her day off for us! Andddddd.... she got us everything we asked for!!

Final ADRs are:

Sat., Sept. 12 - ASMu/DTD, WCC dinner (5:00pm)
Sun., Sept. 13 - DAK, TH breakfast (8:00am)
Mon., Sept. 14 - MK
Tues., Sept. 15 - Epcot, Biergarten (5:00pm)
Wed., Sept. 16 - ASMu/DTD, Boma dinner (5:00pm)
Thurs., Sept. 17 - MK, CP breakfast (9:30am)
Fri., Sept. 18 - DHS, Sci-Fi dinner (5:05pm)
Sat., Sept. 19 - Epcot, Chefs de France dinner (5:00pm)
Sun., Sept. 20 - Departure day, CM breakfast (9:30am)

The only difference between what I requested and the final ADRs is a FIVE MINUTE change on the Sci-Fi dinner

Seriously, waking up to an email with all the work already done is a very very good thing! Thank you Christine!!!

BTW, I cannot believe I was stressed out over getting restaurant reservations that aren't even really reservations!

Nevertheless, I'm so glad it's all finalized!

What a relief to have your times set in stone now. It just makes all your plans seem so concrete.

Christine rocks for sure. I assume she pretty much calls every morning. She's probably physically unable to sleep in past the Disney Dinning opening time.

Out of the ones you have we have never done TH, Beirgarten and Chef. We are doing Chefs in August. Cant wait to see what you think of the others.

Thanks! Yep, she's awesome! Biergarten looks really fun! I tried to pick restaurants that offer food that we don't try often or don't have a good local restaurant for kwim? We don't have a local restaurant that serves great German food, so Biergarten, here we come!

One semi-final game was last night, the second is tonight. Unfortunately, they lost last night, so they'll be playing for third place tonight. Happily, Tigger had a huge hit last night, so he's happy with his performance, which is making the loss of the game much easier for him to deal with

I've never been in last night's situation before - one of my babies in a high-stress sports event, playing against a team with less-than-aboveboard coaching staff and open license to trash-talk (which our team was NOT doing and has never done). Sadly, it seems I turn into my dad (while he's watching a hockey game on TV) I think I have to step back and watch tonight's game from a safe distance

A life update:

Mickey's Birthday



Today is Mickey's 7th birthday - I cannot believe he is 7 years old ALREADY?!?! Of course, I can't believe Tigger is 10 years old either?!! He woke up to lots of cards and presents - he's a very happy dude!

Turns out that telling him that the faster he went to sleep the quicker his birthday would come works really well - he was out nearly instantly, by sheer force of his will

We'll be off to Montana's for dinner tonight (his choice), then to Walmart for a new cool bike! We're having a BBQ tomorrow as well for those who are unable to come to dinner tonight. Birthday party weekend!

Baseball Updates

Tigger's baseball season is done for this year. They won bronze in the playoffs and are very pleased! Tigger improved so much this season - by the end of the playoffs, his teammates were calling him "big hitter" It was a wonderful season and we're all looking forward to another insanely busy season next year! He's very proud of himself (rightfully so!) and we're all very proud of him too

Mickey's baseball season isn't quite over yet. He has one more game on Sunday, then he's done. He doesn't want to be done yet, so this makes him sad The boy truly loves the game! His wrap-up team party was on Wednesday - lots of fun had by all!

Trip planning

I'm still organizing and adding to my "it's not a Disney binder, honey" binder. It's getting kind of full

Isn't it strange how much a relief it is to have all the ADRs booked? I think I've put the confirmation numbers in four different places in the binder

I've begun receiving some free samples of stuff I happened to come across (shampoo/conditioner, liquid laundry detergent, etc.) and it's so much fun to slip those things into my sneaky box (there's a bunch of non-Disney stuff on top of the box, so the boys never go near it LOL).

I'm still tweaking my Garden Grocer order - I keep changing my mind about what I should order Hmmm... maybe I'll post my current list and see what you all think about it

Way to go Tigger! Bronze medal is a great accompishment and even better is being called a "Big Hitter"!!

Play-N-Dine...breakfast and lunch at DHS, Hollywood-n-Vine restaurant. But since they're character meals I think they play with the name. At breakfast, Sept 08 we saw Leo & June (Little Einsteins) and JoJo & Goliath. I think they still have those characters, but we wanted to try the lunch menu this time!
