My tree tipped over support group.

Twice. I hope it is up for good now. I can't get the lights as nice as they were.
Ornaments broken:
Mickey Mouse Head 'American Flag'
Nsync (no judgement! )
An ornament my Great-Grandmother made. The only things I have of hers are these ornaments.

This also happened to me a long time ago and in a far off place. Any way.....
between the dog pulling it over and my kids doing it again and it just
falling once I finally threw it out the door. Now I have a fake one.
And no dogs but Grandkids. I am sure your tree looks just great.

My daughter did this too about 7 years ago. All I could do was laugh and laugh after the fact. Just seeing an 8 year old trying to hold up a tree was priceless. It was like it was happening in slow motion. There were quite a few casualties, but we kept one broken one that we still laugh when she hangs it up.
I'm sorry you lost one that can't be replaced tho. Maybe you can salvage the pieces and do something with it like put them in a glass one?

I've seen ornament stands that you might be able to use to display your great-grandmother's ornaments in a safer place than your tree. Like these:

I was giving it Champagne!

And no, I can't fix my great-grandma's ornament. I was a glass ball that she had crocheted all around. No way to fit a new one in. I may send the crocheted (sp) part to my Grandma and see if she can 'undo and redo' it.

Our dog who hates the the mailman with every inch of his furry body, knocked over the entire Christmas tree this morning. What is it with dogs and the mailman? He doesn't hate anyone else. Luckily the tree was not decorated yet!

I'm sorry about the ornament.. I know we have special ones from DH's grandmother with dates and gift tags still on them... He always puts them on the tree first..

As for your champagne drinking tree... Cheers, I'll drink to that ... I sure do miss the lounge...

I will call WDW or have someone pick up a new Mickey for me, but thanks! Heck, you should have seen the looks on my friends faces when they came into my house! They couldn't believe that I dragged two live trees (one of which is huge) into my house and put them up by myself. And no, that's not why it tipped over. It tipped because it is so full it's hard to water. Leaning the branches up too far = tipping!
Take lots of pics in the radiant red lipstick for your dh! He needs a pic of a beautiful woman. Not those Barneys in the skimpy black outfits!
