Hi
Just come back from a glorious month in Orlando at my parents house and was in serious depression until we got a bit of money through on some shares, some unpaid leave from work and woo hoo! we're going back on 14th June for a week - I know its greedy but I go back to work from maternity leave in July so you can't blame me can you :rotfl:

Anyway, we booked the cheapest flight wer could get, which worked out £999 for 2 adults, my 3 year old and 9 month old (who has he's own seat). The flight is with my travel co, which I know has a reputation of being a bit ropey - the question I wanted to ask is, does anyone know what sort of seating configuration there is? also are they ropey or ok?
By the way we used florida car hire - £135 for week in a 7 seater- bargain!

thanks for your help guys x Jo

Thats a great price. Did that include all the insurances? Also do you have a website. Thanks

We have flown with Mytravel to Orlando, no problems at all. Food and service all great. The seating was 3-3-3 in main cabin 2-3-2 in premium, that was on an Airbus.

It was a 3 3 3 seating. The flight, entertainment and crew were excellent. Going Places forgot to book us meals on our flight, so when we checked in we were livid. We bought food just incase as much as you can take like sandwhiches etc, as we were advised to ask the crew and we can buy our meals onboard, but prepare yourselves incase they cant. Anyway we asked the steward and he said he will find out. He came back to us and said yes we have spare meals and he wouldnt even charge us for it and the same on the way back. They were really helpful and really wanted to make our flight enjoyable. They are highly recommended. The only reason we are flying with Virgin is because we got an amazing deal and we always wanted to fly with them. If next yr we could only fly with My Travel I wouldnt be hesitate. :bitelip:

Hiya :wave2:

When I flew with My-Travel our plane had a 2-4-2 seating plan. It was a tad cramped but for the price you cant complain too much! Food was as good as it could ever be on a plane, Drinks/sweets trolley round often & Even though I cannot remember the films there where 3 of then plus a couple of sitcoms. Also no delays in either direction.

Good to read some gd reports. We were originally travelling with Thomson Holiday and then the flight got changed to MY Travel and had read some horror stories + we are taking my DS for the first time and I was in panic mode.

However, our travel co. phoned their (we are going in July) special needs department and they couldn't have been nicer. Unfortunately we need a direct flight because of my DS and Virgin don't fly from Glasgow so we don't really have a great option up here. But if the flight and crew are as helpfull as their special needs department then I would def. recommend MT . Will let you know on our return :goodvibes

All I can say is I am impressed so far. :goodvibes

We are flying with Mytravel again for exactly the same reasons as you are Ali and boyz, and also from Glasgow. My DS has special needs and uses a wheelchair and we had great service from Mytravel for him before.
I am sure the OP has nothing to worry about with her flights.

Hi loadsapixiedust, we are going in July. Bit apprehensive incase DS takes not well on plane as this is the first time we will have flown to Florida since his accident. this is the only bit that is worrying me.

Good to hear you had a good experience with MT. I told them everything as I thought well if they don't know how can they sort it. They even confirmed everything in written. Wish we were going for 3 wks now but will see how we get on .

Have a gd holiday won't be long now :wave2:
