I went into the land a week ago for barely 20 minutes, just to ride Slinky and walk out. Initially was very impressed. The land is colorful, cute, nostalgic and attractive. Slinky is a lot more fun than I thought it was going to be. Today I went into the land again and spent about 2 hours there. My ride counts are as follows:
Slinky Dog Dash: 4 times (2 in the middle, 1 in very front, 1 in very back)
Alien Swirling Saucers: 3 times
Aliens cycle time is 90 seconds. I don't know why I didn't get Slinky's I had a lot of time lol. I'd say it's about similar.
Also, Slinky runs 4 trains. I thought it was 3, but it is indeed 4. The Load and Unload area are separate (like Seven Dwarfs), there's a hold area behind unload, and a hold area behind that one. I was one train away from getting on when it closed due to lightning, that's when I was able to count them. I left after about 30 minutes of waiting, and did Alien two more times, before seeing Slinky cycle again and came back for 2 more rides. Those 2 rides happened while it was raining, so yes the ride does run in the rain.
The ride is 9 rows of 2, so 18 riders per train. For anyone interested, this is the seating arrangement:
[Tail 2] - [2 2] - [2 2] - [2 2] -[2 2] - [Head]
The tail shares a row, and the head is it's own car.
The queue is a mix of outdoors and under cover. There is technically no "indoor" areas, the entire queue is outside until you get to the last switchbacks before the merge point. This might get hot in the summer, stay hydrated. (I did see fans, but I wasn't looking for all of them).
Alien is an exact copy of the Junkyard attraction at DCA. Not quite teacups, it's kind of it's own thing. You tube it for a example of how it looks. The queue is similar to Buzz Lightyears, without the animatronic Buzz. The ride has zero moving parts besides the turntable and the vehicles. I was expecting a moving Claw, but there are several stationary ones. The ride is accompanied with a really awesome soundtrack, the aliens talking are funny, and the lights on the ride will be more appreciated at nighttime.
The bathrooms are normal (colorful). Overall it's a great new addition. It's not groundbreaking, but it's needed for a park like DHS.
EDIT: Andy's Toy Box was not open so I did not partake in any food offerings.
