When you are going through the que, try and look directly at as many lights as possible. When you get into the launch vehicle, look directly at the lights overhead as long as you can, up to the time you launch.

The reason you do this, is to force your eyes to not adjust to the darker light levels inside the ride.

As your eyes adjust to the light levels, you gradually start to see the track ahead of you and around you. This ruins the ilusion of flying through space and makes the ride more predictable.

looking at the lights before the ride, lets you still enjoy the stars above, but helps mask the rides tracks.

Thanks for the tips, but ever since I walked off SM with the worst neck & head pain ever, I said, "Never again!" It's funny; when I was younger, I could ride this all day at Disneyland.... So, I don't know if it's because I'm "old" now :rotfl: , or the WDW version is more jerky, but either way, it's not for me anymore! Give me RnR Coaster any day...nice and smooth! :cool1:

I rode space mountain WDW in my teens and well *ahem* now that I'm a little older....I still do it but find it much more jerky now. I'm sticking with it's the ride that's older and the problem now though. :rolleyes1

Great tip. Will have to try that next time I go to have my bones shuffled around. :rotfl:

Myst

me too! Made me feel really "creaky"after I went on it last trip! I decided to let DH and FIL go on it on their own after that! :flower:
