My Stereo Died...Anyone recently buy a Shelf System?

My five year old RCA just bit the big one. It still works fine with radio and tapes, but won't even recconize CDs. It looks like I will have to get a new one, but I am so darn picky. It has to play CD-R/CD-RW and must have a cassette deck (so I can copy radio stuff).

Anyone have a Shelf System that you like and would reccomend?
