My stay CL at RPR

Stayed 2 nights. Just back this afternoon. We checked in early (9am) on Sunday. Of course room not ready as I expected. We headed over to the park. Back around 2. Room still not ready so dd and I sat around for an hour. Got a call it was ready. Went to desk and found out wrong room was assigned. We could have taken that one, but chose to wait for the nicer room (3712-pool, park in the distance, garden--one of the nicer ones as we were told none of the CL rooms are really theme park view). In we go. Very nice room. Everything in the mini bar was hot. I assumed it was because they had just filled it.

The food servings from 4:30-6:30 were nothing like posted back in August. Mainly snack stuff and there were some portobello mushrooms and a seafood salad. Nothing hot. Very few choices. Dessert that night was about 3 items I believe (I stood there while dd picked up a few items).

Next morning everything in mini bar was still hot and internet wouldn't connect although it had the night before. I call the special line for CL and was transferred to a message machine at 9 am. Left message about both issues. DD went and got her junky breakfast. Off to parks. Come back later to no answer about either internet issue or fridge. Went to lounge for 12-2 snack time. Only chips, a nut mix, and a trail mix. Of course non alcholic drinks available.

Later guy came by to refill minibar and I told him about problem. He said they had been having this problem and he unplugged it and plugged it back in. Said should be fine. Still hot this morning.

DD headed down for 4:30-6:30 offerings. Nothing really hot. There were a few croquets with cheese and ham (I think). A few other type appetizer items. Nothing like the pics posted in August once again. Dessert time from 8-9. DD again went and got a few things (maybe 3 offered). She said people were there trying to get alcoholic beverages and were upset they couldn't. She brought me a mini eclair

Also my dd used her robe the first night and they took it and didn't replace it. Turn down service??? We got 2 small bottles of hot water and for some reason they took the pillows from one bed and turned them lengthwise. Other bed they didn't touch. No turndown of the covers on either bed. Just turning the pillows the other way. No biggie to me just very strange.

I'm not complaining. We love RPR and next time we go we will stay there. Just don't think $100 for CL is worth it. Please don't flame me if you love CL. I'm just giving our experience.

Your review has me rethinking CL. I was really looking forward to hot apps before dinner. An extra $100 might not be worth it now.
How was the breakfast?

I agree. I don't think Club is worth it unless you've got a packload of teenagers.

My dd went to get breakfast both mornings. She came back with 3 nice looking pastries each morning (doughnuts, croissants, etc). They also had cereal she said. First morning she said they had oatmeal; second they had grits. This is according to dd. I didn't go to breakfast.

As damo says unless you have big eaters not worth it. I knew I don't eat much, but I thought I would get some other perks. I did get 2 or 3 beers between the 4:30-6:30 time. If you don't think you will be there at that time, that is another reason it is not worth it. Cocktails (which I don't know how they are as I don't drink them) are $5.

I asked her again about the dinner last night. I thought maybe she missed something (as far as hot foods). She said she got one of everything. The croquettes were warm but that was really it. While she made dinner out of it, don't plan on it.
