We arrived on a Friday around 12:30 and waited online maybe 10 minutes to check in. Luckily our room was ready. We had tons of luggage to be brought up to the room but there were no do it yourself luggage carriers so i decided to lug it to the room and take many trips (also dealing with a slow elevator didnt help). I was exhausted but got everything to the room. The room was ok but i feel can use some updating definitely. I mean it was clean but i probably wouldnt stay again unless they update. My husband wasnt crazy about it and was looking to see if we can arrive at our Disney Resort a day early (we couldnt get free dining for the extra night so decided to stay put). Other than that i thought the bathroom had plenty of shelf space for my stuff, the beds were comfortable, and the a/c worked great. The kids went to the waterpark for a bit and then after 15 minutes started a bit of rain and thunderstorms. My husband told me and the kids to go see the restaurant and make a reservation if needed so we went to take a look. Right away i knew this wasnt the kind of place to have a first nice sitdown meal on vacation (dont get me wrong it was great for lunch but for the prices they charged at the so called Nick Toons Cafe for sandwiches or salads) i went back to my husband and told him i dont think it was what he was looking for for dinner and he didnt mind we were going to go off the premises for a nice dinner. We only went a few miles down the road and came across a Texas Roadhouse which always has great food and the meals were cheaper than what they were charging at the hotel. I wont pay big prices for cafeteria quality food not even for convenience. The waterpark opened back up at 8:00 so the kids got to go back in for a bit. That night i figured we had a rough first day and said to myself the next day should definitely be better especially since we didnt have to load & unload. The next day was beautiful and i actually had a great day there and thought to myself that Nick wasnt bad after all and i dont regret staying there. Once we were settled and got accustomed to the rooms and everything it wasnt bad at all (things take getting used to sometimes and i get like that with motel rooms, once we are there for a while and live in it I feel better about it, i know sounds funny. They had pool activities, sliming, at night they had the poolside movies. All in all i did have a good time once i got settled into the place and actually felt a bit sad when we left. But then again we were onto bigger & better things (6 nights at Contemporary in Disney) so that was going to be the best part of our trip. Nick is great for kids so please accept the fact that this is for the kids and you wont be disappointed. Also give it a chance, dont get discouraged right away, sometimes the first days of every trip are the worst. The second day of our stay was definitely much much better than the first.
