It really pays to keep checking! Just saved another $15 per ticket!

Me too! I originally paid #16,000 plus points for round trip ticket. Now I have paid around #12,500 points for the same and was able to get the difference refunded on two tickets. Truth be told......I changed flights three times and got a direct flight out of it but getting the refund of points was so worth it. Also have one tickets we paid for and have gotten $42 credit towards future use. :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

We booked on Sunday night for Sat. Nov 24th from MDW to MCO for $116. 645am flight. that flight had been $161 for the longest time.

we really want to leave on Fri 11-23 but I just cant see paying $161-$211 for a one-way ticket.

My dates just keep going up. When are you going? We are looking at early December.

My flight to MCO just went down also -- $10 per ticket. I thought I had a great deal at $99 per person but it went down to $89 per person. Now have a $40 credit for future use.

I just wish that SWA would allow you to use any credits toward EBCI!!!!

My family is now flying RT non-stop BDL-MCO for $750!!! Can't beat that!

My SW flights have gone way up-so glad I bought when I did!

I just checked and our return flight dropped. I rebooked it. :cool1:

We are now paying 10,680 points each for round-trip, PIT to MCO. :woohoo:

We are going in late September.

me too.. i finally had to get on the Mrs and tell her we needed to buy our dec tix as they are already costing us $30 each more then a week ago.. our oct tix have gone up and up also..

Unfortunately neither Southwest nor Frontier have posted flights for next June yet. I believe Southwest flights for June 2013 are projected to be posted in December. I have no idea when Frontier will post theirs.
For other airlines, fares out of Denver have been slowly dropping, while flights out of Colorado Springs (my town) are holding steady.

That's odd. I'm sure we're flying out of the same airport and I haven't noticed Southwest going up at all. Although I guess we are checking different dates.

We just started using Southwest because they are cheaper than Jet Blue. What do you need to do if your flight decreases in order to get credit? How do you use the credit?

We are going mid oct and mid dec. mid dec started at like 143 and we bought at 164 or something (of course that's one way) coming back we still got around the $144 or so price. mid oct we got for $140 when they first came out, each way.

The Columbus prices have been so crazy lately~ My family of 5 is going to Orlando in January but we are splitting up and flying out there on 3 separate days, just a matter of days apart. We've seen prices as low as $96 and as high as $255 each way depending on the dates and flights. I've been checking for about 10 days straight now and they have fluctuated literally every day! About a week ago, they were crazy high (even higher than $255) finally we booked yesterday with their 4 day sale deal.

With Southwest, to get the best deal, you have to really be on top of it and even then take a chance. (Credit is great but not always usable!)

You'll also notice that Southwest is flying many less nonstop flights between CMH and MCO. :crazy2:

Hmm...I'm not seeing the crazy price fluctuations at all for my early/mid November and early/mid December dates.

They used to do more than two non stop flights per day?

We are looking at January, so maybe it's a different price point for your time period. At times, yes, they've had more non-stop flights. When I first started checking flights, there was only 1 a day listed! Since then, it seems like they've added some back in, thankfully!

Hope your flights work out great for you!

Airtran is probably the reason for that.

yes.. especially on saturdays..

I just looked again, for mid oct our flights are now $166 down $214 back!! (as I said we already bought, but that's what they are now, and have been for the last week or so) Again, those are nonstops early to MCO, 'the latest they have coming back' back in CMH by 2pm :( at least in Dec there are more choices and I am coming back at midnight lol.. that's a full extra day at WDW as far as I'm concerned! Love that.

you need to cancel your current flight and rebook new flight..sometimes you can just use the 'change the reservation" function..I think it is on the bottom of your confirmation email

then, be sure and save your booking numbers..you have a year to use up your extra funds...next time you want to use your travel funds, as you buy your ticket and go to check out click use travel funds..out in your confirmation number and your name and apply. you can use 2 per passenger. and your funds are only good for each person..like you cant combine your kids or husband and your credits to buy a ticket..credit only goes for each person that earned it

Go to SWA web site.
On the right you'll see "change Flight"
Enter Confirmation number and guest name

From there you'll be able to go in and select which part of your flight you want to change then it will ask when you want to change it to. Pick the lower priced flight and go through the check out process where it will show you the price decrease and will tell you to keep your confirmation number to use your credit in the future.

The credit is good for 1 year from the date the flight was origionally booked. Meaning you have to complete the flights with the credit by the date you booked not the date of the trip (my mom lost her credit reciently this way). The credit also must be used by the origional ticket holder. So if a family of 4 ends up with a $400 credit it is not good for 1 person to take a trip with a $400 value, each person instead has a $100 credit to use within the time frame.
