OMG, all those pumpkins are just spectacular!!!! WOW! I'd love to see something like that. Thanks for sharing.

I love the Oriental Trading Halloween items. So many to choose from. And those cupcakes you posted are too cute. I love finding new Halloween food ideas.

My b-day is 10/24 and my family, knowing what a huge Halloween fan I am, has bought me Halloween cakes in the past. LOL

I just wanted to say that not only does Jacob have the best taste in holidays ;) , I think it's really sweet how he is so good to his sister, making her breakfast and all. :)

It was amazing to see the pumpkins.
I don't know if there are similar things elsewhere.

Jacob and I read the catalog together today. I end up adding things on to his list. :rolleyes1

Thanks for your comments about Jacob, he is a good kid. He has always looked out for her.

Love the pumpkin pictures - especially the Disney ones, of course!

Soon you'll be seeing lots of orange and purple and green and black and pumpkins and scarecrows and costumed characters

The witch cupcakes are great. I should make those with my class. They'd love them!

I'm going to go get Ariel's Beginning for Brooklynn this morning. I forgot to pick it up when I did my grocery shopping, and they are coming here today for a Mickey's Backyard BBQ/Trent's birthday/Labor Day meal. We'll eat and watch Ariel.
Well, the girls will.
The boys will watch sports and do other less exciting stuff.

Good luck to the kids as they head back to school!

Here are some Disney pumpkins we saw throughout the night.

:faint:

I wish I could make this. That is BEAUTIFUL. I need to show my dh when he wakes up.

Good luck to the kiddos in school.

I totally spaced on Ariels Beginning. Yikes! What a bad Disney mom I am. :lmao: I'll have to grab that.

Those pics are amazing!!!!!!! I wish we had something like that in Denmark.

Thanks! They have only been holding it in RI for the last 6 years.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for the photos!!!!
I can't wait to see all the decorations.
Jacob was admiring some MK scarecrow photos the other day.
I am really looking forward to the parade & fireworks as well!
I have been wondering if there would be Halloween balloons!
Maybe we will need to get one of those our first night! We will at least take photos of them.

Have a great bbq, and enjoy your family time.

I wish I could too.
Thanks!

Wow, those are great too! Love the unicorn and Bambi pumpkins!

Thanks! There were a lot of fun ones!

I've never heard of "guising". Is it basically the same concept or different? I'd love to hear about Halloween in other places.

Yeah, pretty much the same - the kids dress up and go round the houses, saying rhymes/singing/poems etc and get sweeties. You always used to get loads of monkey nuts but not so much now - allergies! The ryhme most kids used to say when I was small was "The sky is blue, the grass is green, please may I have my Halloween". It must have got very repetitive for the adults! ;)

Cool muffins! :thumbsup2 Very artistic!

Great Disney pumpkin photos! Wow!

I've never been a fan of Halloween, but Jacob's enthusiasm is getting to me! Loved those Disney pumpkins!

And I was going to say that Jacob's going to make a great husband and father one day. Then I was thinking about why it always has to be something in the future. Because it's important that right now, he is a great brother and son!

Hope you guys have a great first week of school! Haha, I think I should buy some Disney school supplies to make my first week better too!

That's so cute! Sounds more fun than trick or treat!

Those halloween balloons are really cute. :thumbsup2

I wish I could take them on the plane home. I don't think putting them in the suitcase would work well.

I enjoy Halloween more as a parent, especially since Jacob loves it.
That's funny because last night the kids were talking about when they could drive, etc... Because they are going into new grades. Its amazing how fast they have grown. Jacob is almost as tall as me, only a few more inches. I have learned to enjoy each age, because they change so quickly.

Jacob was not very excited about the first day of school, he said it was just like another day of seventh grade. He has all the same teachers as last year, except for one. Which is great because he really liked his teachers last semester. Though I bet he would love to be in Irky or RachelNinja's class so he could talk about Disney. He already had homework! He was placed in honors Algebra. :thumbsup2 And he has art this semester, which I prefer, because art club is next semester.

Hannah was super excited about the first day of school!
She doesn't leave till an hour after Jacob.

:jumping1: :jumping1:

I told her she would be getting a surprise phone call at 7:30am. She was going crazy watching the clock. I had scheduled a Hannah Montana wake up call. She was stunned speechless, something that never happens.

She is in fifth grade! She was looking forward to seeing her friends. She has the same teacher as Jacob did, which we were all thrilled about. Most of her friends are in her class, her best friend and her have been together since Kindergarten. She was also really excited to be in the highest grade in the school!

She even made up a song and dance. :lmao:

What grade are you going to Hannah? :lmao:

That's great your son has the same teachers pretty much, and that he likes them

Glad your daughter is so excited about school!

Great pictures:goodvibes

I bet they are so excited about having only 23 days left!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks! This is the first year the 7th & 8th graders will stay with the same group.

They are excited, so am I! :yay:
We are getting so close!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Oooohhh I LOVE the expression on Hannah's face when she got the phone call. Priceless!

"I'm goin' to 5th grade" :cutie: Such a cutie

Jacob looks handsome even though he's not very excited. I guess they get to that age at some point. I like his polo shirt

Happy back to school!!!! Well, OK maybe not THAT happy. hehe :)

Great pictures and videos...Hannah is too cute with her 5th grade song. When she says "Yay me!" at the end, I am sorry (and kind of embarrassed to admit this...) but she reminded me of London Tipton from the Suite Life of Zack and Cody.

I love all those pumpkin pictures! I don't usually get too into Halloween but those made me want to start to like it more.

The video of Hannah singing the song is adorable! She is so cute! Yay me! That was too funny. I also loved her expression during the Hannah phone call. That was so nice of you to do for her!

I would love to have Jacob in my class! Not only because we could chat about Disney, but he seems like the kind of boy that all teachers want a room full of - sweet, caring, thoughtful and funny!

I hope their first days went well!

The Halloween Oriental trading catalog was in our faculty lounge today and I immediately thought of you and Jacob!

There was some pretty cool stuff in there!

I was trying not to laugh since I wanted to hold the camera steady. She was so shocked.

She was so excited being in the highest grade.

Yeah, not a big deal for him. :rotfl:
He loves polo shirts. We went clothes shopping in June, and he bought all polo shirts. I suppose he had enough t-shirts that fit.

That HM phone call was fab! she looked so chuffed!
Excellent song! :thumbsup2
Not long to go now!!! :yay:

I was so excited when I found a link to sign up for it somewhere on line.

So Close!!! :yay:

She came home excited too. :yay:
But the second day she came home tired.

Then that is probably where she picked it up. She loves that show.

Hannah was so excited. She had a great first day. Came home just as excited.
Thanks for your comments about Jacob. His teachers always have good things to say about him. His math teacher came up to us at a concert last spring to say how nice he looked (they wear tux shirts w/cumberbunds), and to comment on what a great kid he was. Its always nice to hear.

Jacob is thrilled to be associated with the catalog.
