My son got his own place.......

I helped him move today. He is sharing a small house with a friend he has had since 3rd grade. It is in Deland Florida right across from Stetson University. Don't know if any of you have ever been to Deland, but it is a very nice, quaint town. His roommate attends Stetson, and his mom is footing the bill. My son is in the homestretch of community college and will be attending UCF soon. In addition to school, he has been working as a computer programmer, so he has financed this whole endeavor himself (he is 19) The house is a 2 bedroom built in 1920, with a big front porch with a swing. I have to say, it looked so appealing, and I am almost jealous thinking of how much fun he will have living there. Its a milestone, but a good one. I think we both are ready for it!

DELAND IS A NICE TOWN. WE ARE IN LAKE MARY WHICH IS IN BETWEEN ORLANDO AND DELAND. I LOVE THE DOWNTOWN AREA OF DELAND...VERY QUAINT! I AM SURE HE WILL ENJOY IT THERE AND IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU RAISED A NICE YOUNG RESPONSIBLE MAN. GOOD FOR YOU !!!

Congratulations to your son! Wow!! And he's doing this at just 19! We stopped in Deland on the train the other day on our way back to South FL!
