Last night he was off the clock and standing in one of the departments when two drunk women came over and ask him to find them something. Their language was vulgar to say the least. He told them he didn't work there but they saw his clothes and persisted, all the time using 4 letter words. He finally had enough and gave it back to them. Well then they were all up in arms and started screaming for the manager.
Shortly after he arrived. He listened to their complaints which included being called a racial slur (he swears he never said any such thing) and looked at my son and said are you off the clock? He said he was. So the manager says get your stuff, you're fired. We'll send you your last check. My son just shrugged and left the store.
There's only one problem with all this. My son has never, ever worked for Wal Mart!
I don't know who the manager thought he was but all I can say is that man needs sleep.
The clothes he on could have been confused with the outfits they want the WM employees to wear but good grief!
So now we're wondering if some poor look alike schmuck will come in to work today and find our he's been fired for something he didn't do. My son wants to file a wrongful termination suit. He's also wondering if he should put this on a future resume?
So watch out the next time you're at Wally World. You might just get canned. Being employed by them doesn't seem to be a prerequisite.
