My Solo Adventure Part 5 - Magic Kingdom and Pleasure Island

Day 5 9-14
Wake up and turn on the TV (will never make that mistake again!) It hadn’t stopped raining since yesterday. Find out that not only were we under a Tropical Storm watch, but under a flood and tornado! watch too! When It finally stopped raining about 11:00 I decided to go to MK. The park was empty! It started to rain again. Saw LiverLips and Brer Bear and got my pic taken with them. Headed to PoTC, BTMR and then to Splash. There we had a 10 minute moment of Silence. It was very powerful. Even children respected it. Went on to HM, peter Pan, Snow White, Winnie the Pooh. Headed to Toon Town got my Pic with Minnie, Chip and Dale, and Tweedle Dee and Dum. Still hasn’t stopped raining. Eat at Cosmic Rays. The fries were good but the burger was OK. Went to Space Mountain, Buzz (250,000 points), and Alien! (another ride I shouldn’t have gone on!) Back to Small World and the Carousel, Dumbo and Country Bear. Headed to the Tiki Room and I couldn’t believe that show! YUCK! I like the old Tiki Room much better! Went on Aladdin and the Jungle Cruise. Once again I was soaking wet and I decided to go back. I took a small nap and woke up thinking I should go see Pleasure Island. I am glad I did! I went into the Adventurer’s Club and couldn’t leave! It was hilarious! Pamiela Perkins is so funny! My only problem was that Hathaway Brown was also the host of WWTBAM that I saw the day before so I kept staring at him LOL. I stayed until it closed! Kungaloosh!

When you first mentioned in one of your other trip report posts about your new found fear of the dark I thought... gee she'd better not go on Alien Encounter.

Wow! A 10 minute silence. Incredible. It must have been incredibly moving.

Isn't it wierd going to MK after going to Disneyland? You expect something to be in a specific place, but it's not there! Rain usually keeps the crowds away - good for you to keep on going! (Glad to hear you enjoyed the Adventurer's Club!)

10 minutes of silence is a very long time. Amazing that even the children were able to observe that long.

Rain rain go away come again another day. Glad it didn't keep you down. Sounds like a a great time. I envy you solo trippers. I'm surprised a 10 min. moment of silence is a long time for kids and adults but so thoughtful.
