and I have severe sleep apnea. Now I have to go back for another study where they put the mask on you. Anyone been thru this? Anything I need to know? TIA
Yes - but in my case they woke me up in the middle of the study to put on the mask. Some places like to do it in two nights like you are having done. It's basically the same procedure but with the CPAP. Hope it works for you.
I'm scheduled for a sleep study but don't know if I will go through with it. If they give me the Cpap, I'll look like Darth Vader in bed. do you see the resemblance?

Ok, you will not look like Darth Vader in bed. You will look like someone who is very well rested, much healthier and a better person to be around.
Think of it this way - do you sleep with a pillow? If yes, try to sleep without one tonight. If you don't normally use one, then sleep with one. Or something different... Sleep with all your clothes on - how comfortable is it? Will you get a good night rest with either of these examples? Probably not - because you do what fells comfortable in bed. Think of the mask as something to HELP you sleep better in bed, not as a detractor.
If you are worried about your spouse not being 'attracted' to you in bed - experience tells me it takes about .5 seconds to take the mask off if it seems like there might be a reason for it NOT to be on.
And your SO will appreciate a better rested mate A LOT.
