Someone tell me if I'm crazy….

Last year… my girlfriend and I went to Walt Disney World in May staying at Pop Century (without the dining plan) and had an AWESOME time!!!! :yay: So awesome in fact that when they released the free dining plan that fall… we had to do it again in late August and the dining plan was very cool since we got to do lots of restaurants we've never done before, including the castle.

Oh yea by the way… the August trip was also kinda pushed by me (because I proposed to her in front of the castle  )… but after that trip we said we'd never go back during that time of year because of the extreme heat! :sunny: (wow it was hot in the middle of the day… we did a lot of resting in afternoons)

Ok well here we are in 2006… we're getting married on May 13th  ..and guess where we're going for our honeymoon… WALT DISNEY WORLD… of course… but this time we're renting the Beach Club Villas from a DVC member, and getting the dining plan option they have now (finally)

We got 10 days non-expiring park hopper water park tickets so we're all set for this trip (and the next – WOO HOO!) :cheer2:

So yea… we're major excited about the wedding and going back to WDW… and guess what recently happened (no...no one's pregnant or anything like that haha) Disney's releases the free dining plan option again this fall!!!! OMG!!!

It is SOOOOOOOOOOOO tempting to want to go back! 6 nights at Pop would be ONLY $661.38 for us (not including transportation…we could either drive or pay $270 for 1 plane ticket… yea I have enough flyer miles to get us 1 free ticket so that's something else to think about)

She's still in college studying to be a nurse but I have a full time job doing pretty well but we don't have a money tree in our yard by any means… We have until June 4th (I think) :hourglass to make reservations again if we want to go back with the free dining plan this fall… but AM I CRAZY FOR ACTUALLY THINKING ABOUT GOING BACK AGAIN?!?!?!? :confused3

She just got word that she's now on a full scholarship so with the state lotto college money, she'll actually be getting money BACK for going to school! (yea I know, doesn't make sense to me either…but it's true) so I thought maybe we could use this as a 'celebration trip' haha… yea well it's a good excuse right? :thumbsup2

So what should I do fellow Disney fans… am I just wanting to go back bad because I haven't been in awhile and once I go in a few weeks I'll get my Disney fix then?

Will we like Beach Club so much we'll never want to do a value resort again? (doubtful, BC will be very nice for a honeymoon, but we like the Pop-like atmosphere and love the food court there!)

Is it worth taking another week off of work and spending $1,000 to go back in just a few months from the last trip? (Pirates, Nemo, and Living Seas may be open then…not sure?)

We were thinking about going back the week before Christmas this year to see all the Christmas 'stuff'… but ya know… this trip would cost double because of the dining plan – so would I regret NOT going back in August?

SO WHAT SHOULD WE DO?!?!?!!?!? AHHHHH!!!! IT'S KILLING ME!! :confused3

Go for it!
I convinced my husband 5 years ago to do an August trip and now we are addicted! We go the last week of August every year when the parks are empty. ( Most kids have gone back to school then). We also always stay at either the Beach or the Yacht Club.
Good Luck.

I second the Go For It! Life is short, have fun when you can. I too am a victim of free dining. We are DVC owners going in June and October and when they announced free dining I convinced hubby how wonderful it would be to try AKL, so we're going in August too. (but don't tell anybody, it's a surprise  )

A third for go for it. Is there really any such thing as getting enough Disney?
