My sister's going to be a CM-I gotta go visit her! TR LINK UP! p. 21

BIG THUNDER = :cloud9::love::lovestruc

Your trip is getting so close!! It's almost here!

Thunder Mountain is awesome.

I know, we are so close! Woo hoo!

Less than a week! Wow, so exciting! Love BTMRR :goodvibes Hopefully the weather will stay nice while you're there and the crowds are at a good level too :thumbsup2

According to my sister it hasn't been super busy but who knows what it'll be like for Halloween weekend and the F&WF. We'll see!

I'm not afraid of the ride, it is all the jerking around the vehicle does.

I know where the CM hiring office is-across from DTD, but where are the apartments? I know the international students used to be housed in the Tree House Villa's, so I am guessing the apartments are on Disney Grounds.

Yeah, that's part of the reason why my mom hates it. I'm more afraid of the dinosaurs...:rolleyes1

I'm not exactly sure where the apartments are. Maybe my dad could answer that. I don't think they're too far from DTD.

You are correct, unless you have an employee ID, you cannot take the CM bus. It'll probably take a car to get you there, and you'll have to "check in" at their gate. The apartments are in a gated community and they don't let anyone in without a photo ID. That's in fact one of the big things they threaten the kids with. Apparently it's very common to sneak people in by stuffing them in trunks :confused3 If they do that, they're instantly kicked out of the program. So start recruiting kids for a car ride now! If you're absolutely stretched, let me know and maybe I can get Matt to swing by and pick you up.

LOL, wow, that is sort of funny that people try to sneak guests in in their trunks. I'm going to have to send my sister a message and see if she can get anyone to pick us up.

5 days to go for you!!!!

You're right, you can't take the CM bus. They are super strict on even getting on the bus. I think you have to show your housing ID, CM ID, and photo ID I belive? Crazy right??

That is kind of crazy but at the same time I guess I'm not too surprised.

You're down to counting on one hand! :hyper:  I could give or take Dinosaur (the jerkiness of it gets me hurtin' but in the end I usually have still enjoyed it :rotfl:) but I love BTMRR! Especially at night!

Yes we are! WOOT! BTMRR is cool at night. We've only done that a couple times though but maybe we can do it again at the party.

:woohoo: on being at 5 days!!!! :yay:

Lol Dinosaur terrified me at first but I have to agree in that it is totally worth it.

Yes it is. I still enjoy it even if I get a little bit scared. Part of the fun is seeing other people get scared too.

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend! It went by pretty fast for me but then again it always does. Not that it bothers me this weekend since we're getting so close to leaving! At this time next week we will be at the Magic Kingdom enjoying Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!:thumbsup2 Unless I can come up with a very last-minute idea I don't think I'll be dressing up which is sort of sad. I remember at the last party I felt kind of left out. LOL. Either way I know I will enjoy seeing all the other costumes.

Have a good rest of your Sunday and only 5 DAYS until...

I love resort TV and all of the Stacey-isms (which I will frequently use on my TRs...triple mountain whammy, anyone?)! It's another one of those things that makes you really feel like you're in WDW. I don't know how much time we'll actually be in the room but I'm sure we'll put it on one morning while we're eating breakfast and getting ready to go to the parks. :goodvibes I have to admit I do miss the old version of resort TV where she's super hyper.

Sooo...what is your favorite Stacey quote? :confused3

5 DAYS! WOOT WOOT! I hope you have tons of fun! :thumbsup2

Oh, love Stacey! I'm surprised I haven't quoted her in the park yet. But my favorite Stacey quote, hmmmm.... I think it's a tie between "You're gonna get WEEETTT!", "I'm gonna ride that puppy." and "There doesn't seem to be any track." I don't know, I'm at a loss for Stacey quotes ast the moment. DIS Deprivation

Whew! I'm glad I made it back here before you are off!! SO CLOSE! I'm lightyears behind, as usual, so I'm just going to wish you a magical trip now! :goodvibes

My favorite Stacy-ism would have to be the "Summit Plummet" complete with hand actions.

And you are very welcome on the luggage tag, I'm happy to pass on a bit of the magic!

Stacy is even more hyper in the old version? Man I thought she was pretty hyped up in the current version. :rotfl2: What can I say, I'm getting old....

I like Stacey's enthusiasm, but the show has been a repeat the last three trips. I just want more material! :)

I agree in that although Stacey is great (gotta love 'you're going to get wet' and all the other sayings) I think they should change it up week by week. I thought this was the case so checked in the 2nd week of our trip thinking the video would be slightly different

Thanks Timmy. I am sure we will have fun like we always do!

Ahhh yes, gotta love "there doesn't seem to be any track." That's a good one. :thumbsup2

Thanks Brook!

haha, at first I couldn't think of what she did but now I can totally picture it. :rotfl:

Stacy is even more hyper in the old version? Man I thought she was pretty hyped up in the current version. :rotfl2: What can I say, I'm getting old....

Well, I think so. LOL. The new version seems to be her more just talking about it and they have a few clips from the old one. They really toned it down!

I like Stacey's enthusiasm, but the show has been a repeat the last three trips. I just want more material! :)

Yeah, I sort of wish they would change it too. I still miss the old OLD resort TV loop with the "Zip A Dee Do Dah Tip for Today."

I agree in that although Stacey is great (gotta love 'you're going to get wet' and all the other sayings) I think they should change it up week by week. I thought this was the case so checked in the 2nd week of our trip thinking the video would be slightly different

haha, a week by week show would be pretty cool! I know what you mean though, we're only there for a few days at a time and even after that it does start to get a little old.

Happy Monday! One school day down, three more to go! I have a fun little story to share from school today. One little girl I work with told me that she is not going to be there tomorrow because she's going to Disney World. So of course I had to tell her that I'm going there on Friday! I always love talking to the kiddos at school about Disney...I'll have to ask her about her trip next week! :)

Continuing with the countdown, it's getting down to the end. Only 4 more days until...

:goodvibes I think I mentioned this when going through the day-to-day plans but since we won't be going to Epcot at all in the morning, it might be hard for us to ride Soarin. :sad2: BUT...if we end up going over there Saturday afternoon I am going to be tempted to just wait even if it's an hour and a half and nobody wants to do it with me. I just love this ride and don't think I could go a trip without doing it! One thing that's so cool about the liftoff is hearing all the first timers' reactions and all the "OOOOOOHS" as the ride starts. Plus the interactive queue might be entertaining...we always seem to use fastpass for Soarin so I've never really seen it.

Is it Friday yet?

Yay 4 days!! :cool1:

The interactive queue for Soarin is ok if it's a really long wait, but it's still better to just get a FP and speed through!

Oh, and pretty much whenever we are in the room, I have Stacy on the tv, until my DH gets annoyed and changes the channel! I do miss the old version though, this one is kind of boring...I wish they would just do the whole thing over. Or at least play the old one on another channel! :yay:

Try to bring a costume.....Wear a Packer Jersey (even an inexpensive one) and take some temporary tattoos with you, with so many WI people headed down for the long weekend you will be sure to get some cheers. We used to make crowns out of the wire star decorations from the Dollar store, add some ribbons and you can be a Packer princess! (we also did Badger Princesses) Or Marquette gear! Or at the very least a Halloween shirt and some glow necklaces. Wait you can wear glow necklaces any time while night touring at WDW:rotfl:. Just remembered that you could also stick on letters with your name on white t-shirt or sweatshirt, like the Mickey Mouse club::MickeyMo, throw on ears and you are ready to go. The CM's call you by name all night when you have your name on your shirt. You are getting so close now, sorry to give you a new shopping or packing list. Have Fun......

FOUR DAYS! WOOT! :woohoo:  If only my Disney trips came that fast... now I have like a whole year or so until my next trip :'(

Love Soarin'! Definitely something to look forward to. I love how everyone gets so involved on that ride, especially when everybody claps at the end. Just lots of fun :goodvibes

If we don't stay at MK too long on Saturday morning before taking the monorail to Epcot we might be able to get a FP for Soarin for the evening. I was watching the Touring Plans site last Saturday (when the crowds were similar to what's expected this weekend) and the FP's were gone about 1:30.

Because we will be back at MK for the Halloween party on Sunday afternoon/evening, we could make a quick tour of the Mountains, Buzz, and a few other attractions (Haunted Mansion, Pirates, Jungle Cruise) and head to Epcot around noon. Because Mom and I are going to visit Emma again in December, you are in control of the agenda for this weekend.

Just a few more days now!! Ahhhh :yay::woohoo:

Maybe you'll get lucky and there'll be some FPs left when you get to Soarin...are you staying at Epcot that whole night? That way even if you get a return time of like 8:00, you'll still be able to ride without waiting!

How wonderful that your dad has given you control of the agenda. Now you have the wand of power :wizard:

The interactive queue at Soarin was quite fun. I'm pretty sure there were either no fast passes left, or they were so far into the night we didn't want to wait that long. It was a few years ago so it might have changed since then. But there were interactive screens that sectioned the people in line into different teams and we had to race each other through landscapes. It was quite fun that everyone got into it.

I would definitely prefer to get a fastpass to eliminate waiting but we'll have to see if there are any left by the time we get over there.

I think they are due for a new resort TV loop!

Four more days! :banana::banana::banana::banana:

3 days now! YEAH!!!

I am probably going to bring along my Aaron Rodgers jersey and some Brewers stuff and I'll see what I feel like wearing the night of the party. I know it's not very creative but hey, atleast it's something! I do remember seeing a huge group of people at the party in '06 wearing Colts jerseys. I'm also going to see if they have any Halloween t-shirts-I went to Kohl's last night and sadly they didn't have anything.

FOUR DAYS! WOOT! :woohoo:  If only my Disney trips came that fast... now I have like a whole year or so until my next trip :'(

haha, I know. I'll have my trip in April to look forward to but after that I don't know when the next trip will be. :(

I love it when everyone claps. It's such a crowd pleaser.

If we don't stay at MK too long on Saturday morning before taking the monorail to Epcot we might be able to get a FP for Soarin for the evening. I was watching the Touring Plans site last Saturday (when the crowds were similar to what's expected this weekend) and the FP's were gone about 1:30.

Well hopefully it'll be like that this weekend.

I hope there are FPs left!! I don't think we'll stay the whole night but if we get a late fastpass return (if we get one at all) we might have to stay later.

How wonderful that your dad has given you control of the agenda. Now you have the wand of power :wizard:

haha, yep. :wizard:

I think the queue looks pretty cool. It might get kind of boring after a while though. But it would be neat to try once.

WOOT, only THREE MORE DAYS until...

(Ignore the fact that it looks like this picture was taken at Disneyland)

I have to admit, Halloween is not my favorite holiday. It's not that I hate it-I just don't get into it as much as some people do. I definitely prefer Christmas. :santa: But, you know that I can't wait for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party! The characters, the treats, the decorations...so much to look forward to! We had a blast in 2006 and I'm looking forward to going again. The parade is pretty cute (and looking at my sister's pictures from when she went with her roommates got me even more excited!). At the end of the night the song is probably going to be stuck in my head for the rest of the week. :rotfl:

ok after seeing that picture I have to go to Disneyland for Halloween. That float's amazing! Have fun on your trip :) Can't wait to hear about it when you get back!

:yay: Two more days!!!!:yay:

Wow!! I can't believe how close you are!!:woohoo: You must be so excited, Sarah!! I love your daily countdown...so many things to look forward to! You are going to have a wonderful time!:goodvibes
