Hi Everyone,

I just have to share my excitement with some like minded folks - my sister in law just landed a job aboard the Disney Wonder! :worship::worship:

She's a hairdresser, and left Melbourne for London's Steiner training college 2 weeks ago. She was told this morning they have a job for her aboard the Wonder - and she will leave in 5 days. They are flying her to LA, putting her up at Disneyland and sending her to The Disney Institute for training, once completed she will board the Wonder for 9 months. :cool1:

I was bouncing off the walls when she called, despite it being at 5am our time this morning :rolleyes1

She's never been to any Disney parks, but has an amazing personality that i'm sure will be suited to their philosophies. Of course, i have already told my husband that it would be a once in a lifetime chance to go to visit her on the ship... :thumbsup2

That's pretty cool! I think you should go visit her too! You wouldn't want her getting home sick!

:cheer2::cheer2:Thats fantastic news i would definitely be trying the same reasoning about visiting her :rotfl:

Thanks so much guys, i'm so excited!

Doesn't hurt that the Wonder is sailing out of LA to Mexico, and then up to Alaska over the next couple of months. At least that's cheaper than getting to Florida :thumbsup2

wow that sounds amazing and i definitely would be talking up the benefits of having a CM for a relative on board the ship for a cruise-trip :)

So is she working as a Hairdresser on board the ship?

I hope she is happy sleeping on a rocking ship :lmao:

I noticed on the Dream far more Aussies than I'd noticed before on the Wonder in various customer service roles on the ship (in the shops and at customer relations.)

Hope it all goes well!!

:thumbsup2 Congratulations to your sister! That is a great excuse to go visit her! :goodvibes

Thanks again everyone!!

I can't wait until Wednesday for her to begin her adventure, including the Disney Institute :lovestruc

When she gets some photos through to us i'll post some here.

She will be hairdressing on the ship, i've told her she better start to practice rocking so she can cut hair straight :thumbsup2

congrats to her!

I'll be on the Wonder on the July 2-9 Alaska cruise.

This might be a bit weird, but I have to ask...

My dad was just telling me about an Australian woman who worked on one of the Disney cruise ships has gone missing... Is your sister still safe and sound?
