Well...hopefully we will get to go in 7 days. My DS23 lost his I.D. and so we thought we would just go to DMV Saturday morning and get it since it hadn't expired. I thought all we needed was his birth certificate and Social Security card and proof of residence. Well we were told we needed his selective service card or school transcripts - which we didn't have either. Plus now they mail the I.D. card to you instead of giving it right then and there.

Needless to say, I am panicked. We are going to go back on Monday to give the other documents but we still won't receive it in the mail in time. So I called TSA, Reagan Airport and Orlando Airport asking what I needed and got 3 different stories - bring his birth certificate, Social Security Card and maybe the receipt from DMV but he will have to go through a special screening process. The guy at Reagan said all they have to do is call a 1-800 # and it only takes a couple of minutes. Our flight leaves at 6:30 a.m. and the airport doesn't open until 4:45 a.m. so hopefully this will all work out. We will still have to go through the process again at Orlando on the return flight. Plus my 17 yr old doesn't have an I.D. but I was told since he was under 18, he didn't need one. So I am bringing the kitchen sink with me just to make sure we clear security!

Please pray for us that all goes well - we could certainly use some pixie dust!!
