My silly question re: monorail...

We are having the Lilo/stitch b'fast one morning at PP - can we walk over to DLH and catch the monorail to D'land? We are not staying at the hotel.

You could walk from the PP to the Disneyland entrance probably just as quickly as backtracking to the Disneyland hotel and taking the monorial. PP is across the dtreet from DTD

You can catch the monorail, but the station is not at the hotel. When they built downtown they took away part of the old hotel. While the stop is in the same spot, its not located near Rainforest cafe. It would save you some walking to take it, but not really any time.

While it won't save you anytime, a ride on the monorail is great for kids. If you arrive before a lot of others and ask, they will tell you where to stand to ride in front with the drive. A fun ride.

I would actually disagree with this because if you were to walk from the PPH to the DL front gates, you would walk right past the monorail station. It takes a few minutes to walk to the station from PPH. It then takes about 5 minutes to walk to the DL front gates from the station. No need for backtracking.

We did the Lilo & Stitch breakfast (which I think you will love! good food & the chars are so great) we walked from our hotel on harbor straight through dtd. It really wasn't that bad of a walk & didn't take too long, after breakfast we cut through GCH and went into dca for a few hours, then we went back out through GCH and caught monorail to tomorrowland and did a few rides before heading to our room for a break

Thanks, all! I wasn't really thinking it was would save us time - just that it might be a fun ride for the kids. I didn't know if non-resort peeps could ride or not. Last year when we went, the monorail was down because of some Nemo-related stuff...

They consider an attraction, so everyone with a park ticket is welcome to ride. They do let resort guests have priority at boarding, but that usually only effects the first couple and the last couple each day.
