Just got back yesterday from 8 great nights at the All Star Movies.

I'll break the report down into different sections:

RESORT

After 3 consecutive stays at Pop Century, I went back to All Star Movies, and won't be returning to Pop for some time. The magic I had been missing from my recent visits was back at the All Stars. The food court was great, lines were manageable there, the pool bar was friendly and inviting. My room was clean every day. Bus service was top rate. Anybody who's concerned about the "bus sharing", DON'T BE. I didn't stand one time the entire time I was there. In fact, on only 2 trips back to the resort, did we stop at Sports and Music first. Only negative thing I can say about the resort is some of the stairwells are in DESPERATE need of some attention. Very dirty and untouched. I saw the same pizza box sitting on top of a trash can for the last 3 nights.

PARKS

It was DEAD! And I loved it! The most I ever waited was about 10 minutes for Space Mountain. I never waited at Epcot. I never waited at MGM. I never waited at Animal Kingdom. I went to Magic Kingdom 4 days, and within the first hour every day, I had breakfast, rode the 3 mountains, and hit 3 rides in Fantasyland. Magic Kingdom is still just absolutely breathtaking. The 100 acre wood finally opened across from the Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh. Although, it looks better than the walls that have been there for so long, seems like with all that space, maybe something a bit more could have been done with the space. Oh, and I finally law Lights, Motors, Action at MGM. Sorry, but to me, it was Lights, Motors, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....Is it over yet?

WEATHER

It was hot, but didn't bother me much. It rained off and on for the entire week, but only 2 days, did we have steady rain. Only night it ruined was the last night, Saturday. We had reservations at Liberty Tree Tavern at 6:00, and my friend who arrived on Thursday, thought we should drive there. So we did, and the rain came, and we got soaked beyond belief. We were so wet and actually cold after dinner, we left the park around 7:30 and missed Spectromagic and Wishes.

FOOD

As usual, no complaints about any meals. Ate mostly fast food, with a few exceptions. Best meal of the trip was Ohana. Great food, great drinks, great service, great atmosphere. The pot roast at Rainforest Cafe was very good. Had a turkey club at Planet Hollywood which was decent. Food at Liberty Tree Tavern was the usual, decent meal. Sci Fi was the same - Sub par food with great atmosphere. One word of note - The chicken parmesan at the All Star Movies Food Court was excellent - How weird is that???

NEGATIVES

Really weren't many to speak of, but one thing I noticed, which many will say is nitpicking, is that Disney doesn't seemed as concerned about appearance anymore. You know how Disney had all those lighted up signs all over the place? Here's the list of just the ones we noticed that were broken:

1.The first "O" on the Planet Hollywood sign was out all week.
2.The "I" on the West Side sign was out all week.
3.The "STU" on the MGM Studios sign" was out at least the last 3 nights.
4.The clock outside the Main Street Train Station was broken the last 2 nights.
5.There were several bulbs out along Main Street USA we noticed the last night.

Here's a list of attractions that went down while we were there:

1.Rock n Roller Coaster, for about 7 hours.
2.Carousel Of Progress broke twice while we were on it.
3.Splash Mountain
4.Thunder Mountain
5.Test Track (big surprise)
6.Spaceship Earth
7.Universe Of Energy

TRANSPORTATION

No problems at all. Most I waited for a bus was about 20 minutes one morning waiting to leave MGM. Other than that, buses were prompt, seats were available, and drivers were friendly.

ENDING NOTE

I often read here about people buying certain tour programs to deal with crowds at the Magic Kingdom. I don't claim to be an expert, but before you spend the money, if you want some good advice, PM me and I'll send you a great Magic Kingdom tour plan. I went there on 4 seperate days, and even on Saturday when it was very crowded, with good use of fastpass, I did EVERYTHING, including all the moutains at least 3 times, with no waiting.
