Just wanted to post that this weekend I found a great bag to organize my "stuff" in. It's a fishing tackle bag--the T1200 Series bag by Okeechobee Fats. It's made of heavy duty water resistant nylon, has zipper compartments on the outside to hold lots of things, and has a padded shoulder strap. The measurements of the bag are 17" X 13" X 10 1/2"--plenty large enough to hold scrap paper. This is a very roomy bag and the best part about it is, it comes with 8 utility boxes! These were priced at about $5 apiece just by themselves in the store, so since the bag was a little over $38, I think I got a great deal! The utility boxes are about 14" X 8 3/4" X 1 3/4", and you can take out the separaters in the wells to make them larger to hold bigger things. I'll try to post a pic of this if my daughter will help me today. This bag looked much nicer than the cropper bag that was $70 back in the crafts section of the store. It doesn't have wheels, but I can always use one of those airport wheel attachment thingies if I need to take it to a crop. Anyway, I'm very happy with my purchase, and my DH is happy I won't be taking over our breakfast area any longer. :teeth:

That sounds super! I thought I was doing so well when I snagged an old set of drawers that DH was going to toss. It was from IKEA & had been part of a set for a loft bed. It held up one end of the desk. It's about the size of a 2-drawer filing cabinet, except it has 4 drawers...ones a bit deeper & the other 3 are the same size.

Well, it was great for all of January....but as the stuff I'd ordered over the Net started to arrive - well, let's just say I have no clue what I'm going to do with that pkg of cardstock I just bought at Costco! :earseek:

I'm beginning to find my table this morning after finally get most of my stuff put in the organizer boxes. They're really nice---the spaces are deep enough to hold my punches with extra room to spare! I'm having fun just filling it up!

Piratesmate, I do have an old desk upstairs that DD repainted once, then decided it didn't really fit in her room. So it's out in the hallway in an area that closes off around the stairwell. I'll be moving my stuff up there soon! The desk was a find at Salvation Army for $15--it's just really been jazzed up with lots of colors for a teenager. I guess I'll get used to it, it's actually pretty cheery looking. Now I've just got to move her "stuff" (extra school supplies, junk) out of it to make use of those drawers! I think the desk drawer thing you've got is great! I've been trying to think outside the box for how to organize my things without spending much money. The tackle box is really a great find for me because it will be portable in case I ever get to a crop or event. I'm still hoping for that!
