My RV dreams on hold...

So, after debating Motorhome vs. trailer, Class A vs. Class C, Slides, length, age and every other option of RV ownership, we figured out that this summer probably isn't the BEST time to buy a camper. Since there is always the possibility that DH can't come with us, there is no way I am driving a camper cross-country by myself if he is deployed. so, no RV this summer. Bummer!
But, i just booked our cabin reservation, so we STILL get to come to the Fort for the first time!

I am sorry that your RV had to be put on hold, but there still may be a way you can stay in an RV at FW. Have you thought about renting a trailer, I have read on here there are a few companies that set them up for you. That would help you further with your research and you would get the camping experience. Good luck with whatever you decide and enjoy your trip.

we looked into that, but the room rate discount for the military this year is awesome. We are staying in the cabins for $1200 for 6 days!
Too good to pass up!

That's ashame that you had to ditch your dreams but it makes sense if your DH might deploy. Having worked with the military for 37 years, it definitely makes it hard to plan alot of your life with deployments, training, schools, etc.

Our first 3 visits to The Fort were in the cabins. We had a great time and you will also. When the time is right you can drive thru the RV lanes ith your new camper.
