OK, first of SIX posters I purchased last time out. I've got nearly all the DL posters due to having bought the 2014 calendar. There are some missing, and I didn't verify that DPOD offers them, but they probably do. They had a bunch of concept art I'll purchase at some point (primarily Adventureland).

At any rate, the DCA posters are UNOBTAINABLE online, and as such with my GREAT DLAP discount, I purchased six missing from my collection. Framing these will cost a small fortune though. At any rate, here are my first three which I've flattened out (they are rolled in a tube for delivery). The new print vendor puts the previous printing capabilities to ABSOLUTE SHAME. While the previous prints from POD were pixelated low-grade GARBAGE, these are heirloom quality both in print and stock.

I ran out of footed glasses to hold them flat, so I'll post up the other Three as soon as these relax a little.

Does heirloom quality mean they're using archival quality materials?

Thank you, we have a huge collection of Disney art and collectables and we were not pleased with the previous printer.

And... here's the rest... I assure you the colors are much better in person.. the lighting sucks in these pics, and its a P&S, and I'm not taking the time to manipulate a JPG over a NEF, so it is what it is. These ones are as great as the first ones...

Good to know. Thanks!

I had steered away from POD as I had a bad experience with it, but they have DRAMATICALLY improved who they have print. THese are GREAT... they aren't glossy, but they are HIGH quality prints.

I looked up the fufillment vendor.

Bentley Global Arts Group - Fine Art Publishing & Services

Seems like they do really high quality stuff as a matter of business.

Here's what they have to say...

Our Digital Prints are high-resolution, high-quality reproductions individually printed on special large format printers. These beautiful digital reproductions are virtually unparalleled in quality and range of color, and are at the leading edge of fine art printmaking. Our archival 12 color pigment ink has a color permanence rating in excess of 100 years (when properly cared for, and displayed in acceptable lighting).

Did you have them sent to you or could you pick them up? I would love some of these but I live in Australia so delivery would cost a fortune

You can only have them sent because they print via a fulfillment vendor. Shipping was pretty darn reasonable. I wouldn't rule it out, and they definitely ship international.

We got three of the DCA posters last year. They seem to be high quality. I wonder how long the current fulfillment vendor has been printing them. I love our prints. We have the Little Mermaid, GSS & Mickey's Fun Wheel. Ever since we saw them on the constructions walls when they were building Carsland, we wanted them. However, they didn't offer them back them. We even thought about asking if we could purchase the actual posters they had on the walls, lol!

You're right, framing does cost a small fortune. But so worth it!

Those are really fantastic.

I haven't heard of this before.

Where exactly did you order these from?

Thank you for sharing these, they really are great! I am so going to order some next time I'm there.

There's two places, (one in each park) you can order them. I've heard they have been working on print on demand online, but as of right now, you are out of luck.

In DCA it is at Off the Page
In DL, it is at the Disney Gallery

DTD World of Disney I THINK used to offer them, but not sure if they still do.

I have been longing for these as well ever since we were herded down the walled off section to enter DCA over by Soarin'

The Mickey's fun wheel didn't make my cut THIS time, but next time, I'm getting that, Silly Symphony, and I think they do a Carthay Circle one. I'll grab TOT as well. I want to round out my DCA collection first because the DL ones are more obtainable. I REALLY want the Hong Kong version of the jungle cruise, but I didn't see it available. That one is going FULL SIZE if I can get it. The concept art is awesome, but at ~$20/print after my AP discount, its a bit rich for my blood to just get everything I want.

I thought I should do a formal review because I've been really down on Disney Art on Demand/Print on Demand because the quality from 3-4 years ago was absolutely atrocious. I will be using it as much as my budget allows now.

Yeah, after seeing these I'm definitely going to have to adjust my souvenir budget :). What size are these prints?

During WOD's remodel of their collectibles room the ARt On Demand kiosk was removed. The last time I was checked with them it had not been put back in. We definitely still have this at Off the page, as does Disneyana.
