I found others timelines invaluable while I was going through the resale process, so I thought I would share mine as well:

Sept. 15- offer accepted on BWV contract
Sept. 16- contract sent to ROFR/ receive escrow documents
Sept. 19- signed docs and deposit check arrive at TTS
Sept. 23- notified that an escrow account has been opened
Sept. 30- Disney waives ROFR
Oct. 7- receive closing docs
Oct.10- signed docs and final check arrive at TTS
Oct. 16- receive notification that escrow has closed :cheer2:

I purchased my contract through Robert at the Timeshare Store. I was happy with the service I received, and would recommend them to prospective buyers. So overall the process took one month and one day, and I am now a proud BWV owner!

I guess I have a bit more time on mine. I passed ROFR on the 8th of Oct. so maybe this week we will see the closing documents. I also used Timeshare store and they have been very easy to deal with.

Thanks for posting this. It definitely helps those of us who are at the beginning of the process. We sent our docs back last Wednesday for 100 points at BWV. We're awaiting good news like yours!

I used someone else because they had the contract I wanted... and the whole process took about 3 weeks longer than yours! Congratulations on making some good choices. (We're now BWV owners, too!)

Wow you went through the process rather quickly. It's been a little over a month for me and i'm just now getting to the end of the closing stage. All of my closing paper work is signed and sent in. I just have to wait for my loan to go through.

Your process was so fast. Our offer was accepted 9/9, took Disney over 3 weeks to waive and we still do not have closing documents. Thankfully I am a very patient person !!

I'm just over a week past ROFR being waived. Were the closing docs mailed to you? I meant to email today and ask that question, but forgot. :)

Congrats - We used Robert for our purchase as well and it was a smooth process !!

They were e-mailed to me. It was quite convenient.

Wow, that's really fast, although I'm just now on my first purchase, mailed the escrow check today after my offer to buy was accepted by the seller Saturday. I also used the Timeshare Store, Jerry was super attentive and called the seller right away. In less and I mean seriously, less than 3 minutes Jerry was calling me back to say my offer had been accepted. That part of the process was great, I hope the rest of mine is as smooth and quick as yours.

Congratulations on your deal. :thumbsup2

just wondering are you in the disney system yet to make reservations. we got sent to disney for rofr on the 17 of Oct. so just in the beginning stages of the process. we already have a feb.1 trip planned and would like to use our new points but weren't sure if anything was even avail. if we would be in the system in time.

Congratulations and good luck on your contract.

Our first contract had a much different timeline. It took over a month to get ROFR but, closed within a week. This time...ROFR in less than a week but, still nothing from estoppel.

As of Sunday I am not in the system. I'm on the West Coast, so it's really difficult to call during the week. I'll try again on Sat.

Isn't waiting hard? I've been closed for about 10 days now, and I'm still not in the DVC system. Good luck!

Don't get discouraged. It took us 20 days(!) to get in the DVC system after closing. Closed sept. 17th and was in the system on Oct 20th. everything else went so smoothly, I was kinda surprised by how long this last step took...

My broker (TSS) told me that because of the many re-sales being bought, it takes DVC more time than usual too process everyone.

Keep us posted!

Just an update. We received all closing documents last week and the loan paperwork also. We should close within the next week, per the loan documents it should be November 3. Someone said it was taking 20 days to get into Disney's system though so, I'm waiting popcorn:: :rolleyes1 I really wanted to book a trip for last week of Dec / first week of January, but I doubt it will work out. Most of the rooms have no availability posted right now for the 30 - 4th. Oh well, some time before August 1 we will take a short first trip as DVC members !!!:woohoo:

I closed on a Friday and was in the system by Tuesday. (my first contract) I'd contact my agent....maybe, they can help.

Well, I called to check on why I haven't received closing docs. They were e-mailed on 10/22. Only problem...I didn't receive them. I now have them and will send them out tomorrow.
