My psychiatrist called me a six year old...

Hey, if we are all six years old, could we get the child's ticket for WDW?!?! :rotfl2: Sure would save a bunch of money that we could use for more trips. :goodvibes

But than we would have to order off the kid's menu :teeth: .

My very first trip to Disney was when I was 6. So I guess that means I haven't aged a bit! I've found the fountain of youth!!!!

stina :wave2:
(who just this year celebrated the big 30 at WDW! no better place to grow young)

Well then I guess you can count myself, DH, DD(13) and DDbestfriend(15) all as 6 year olds. We only have 54 more days to go. And of course he back peddled, didn't want to look like an idiot, since he probably never has been to DW. I'm sure he's too mature for something like that. Which in my opinion is too bad for him. I hope that everything goes well for you and keep going to Disney, that's the best therapy for us!!!! :joker:

Guess that makes me a VERY happy 6 YO then who smiles while driving all the way down the east coast to Mickeyland.

I see one monthly due to a head injury :duck: earlier this year, which caused 4 months of memory loss

Wow, I hope everything turns out well for you, that must have been terrible.

I also hope your disney vacation wasn't during the 4 months memory loss. lol

Don't feel bad about your psychiatrist, he's probably just one of the millions of disney doubters out there. People regularly tell me I should see a psychiatrist because I love going to disney so much. I slip it into coversation every time I can.

Take care of yourself.

I'm a 6 year old with 33 years experience. :thumbsup2 I wonder what the good dr. would say about me, I am on these boards at least once a day with no trip in sight. I hope that you're feeling better.

That's me too :rotfl:

I'm a bit miffed, myself. Having worked in the mental health field, I'm really disappointed to hear this...

If you're just there for monitoring, and it will be short term and less "intensive", I'll give it some slack...

But if this was someone you were having a long-term therapeutic relationship with....I would run as fast as I could and find another therapist.

JMHO....

I Soo agree with you. The relationship between those of us who need regular care and our caregivers (whatever form there may happen to be) is crucial to our all-over well being.
The last time I was in crisis, both my doc & therapist agreed to let us go on a long planned trip to the House of the Mouse since they knew how important it was to me. I had to agree to let my hubby help me stay on track and when I got home the extra excitment meant an inpatient treatment plan. But NEVER once did anyone make a comment like that. I am very sorry for you :worried:

Thanks for the concern...
I didn't take the remark in a bad way and, I am sure, he did not mean it as one... Actually it made me think I need to bring him back a pair of ears from my next trip... I will have to mention to him about Donald Duck being a poster child for bi-polar disorder. He'll get a kick outta that.

Not only that, I'm sure he might have alot to say about Donald not ever wearing pants! :lmao:

This 6yr old would fire his/her sorry psychiatric behind. I would not support someone who would make fun of something so dear to me. That is my professional Dis Veteran opinion. No cost.

Of course he isn't wearing pants -- it makes it easier for him to stomp his feet when the need appears :rotfl2:

Darn I am gettiing older.....I like 4 personally. It is obvious to me you remebered the important things like when you are going ...did you make any adrs though?? No joking I am not punning your tr4auma so glad you are ok and really believe you rembered joy in your life!!! Way Cool

DOes he know that Grumpy may need some anger management and does Sleepy really have narcalepsy or was he bitten by tisi fly! Personally I am concerned about Dopey self esteem issue but maybe Snow Wite can have some input!

SO glad you are ok and hope I never have to tell a Doctor about my love for Disney they may take me away, and thats ok too as long as its the right shade of lime green jumpsuit I will be ok...

HEres to your speedy rcovery................ :moped:

i'd really rather be thought of as maybe 8, would miss going on some rides if i didn't meet the height requirement!!! :rotfl2: it's sad that he doesn't enjoy the mouse as much as the rest of us!!! Good luck with your ongoing recovery!

I just thought of something really funny you could tell him.....I'm a vet, and the first patient i saw the other day was named Wendy---had to admit her for x-rays, then i went to the other exam room next door , and there waiting to see me were tinkerbell the yorkie and tiger lily the beagle (had to admit tiger lily for testing) so then i went out to my tech and told her i'm only seeing disney themed pets today!(she was amazed i would accept those other than in pan...but i said i would....)anyhow long story short----last person I had to call back later that night was a lady who named her cat----yeah, you guessed it Peter Pan!!!! So even us in the medical profession can have pixie dust!!!! :wizard:
