My present to myself, a new camera

I got the new Canon 60D as my cured present. Of course the new camera uses different storage media than my other Canon. Now I have to get new SD cards. I must have 20 or 30 gig of cards for the other camera. I hate to write over picture cards while on vacation. So I will be gradually getting 4 gig cards over the next few months. Not too small, not too big. The huge cards out there scare me. If something goes wrong with one card you don't lose too much.

Now I just have to learn all the ins and outs of my new camera.

If you are going to shoot any video with the 60D, make sure you get a lens with Image Stabilization (IS). My 7D takes amazing video (and takes amazing pictures as well).

I got the kit lens with it because of the IS. I don't have big plans for video with it, but that could change once I start playing. Of course that means even more memory purchases.
