My Pre-Trip report 10/14-10/18 with pictures!!! (updated 10-10)

Hi everyone! My name is Sarah and I live near Modesto, CA. (340 miles from DL). We got AP's in February and have been in Feb, June, August and in a few weeks we will be there again.
So Castmembers:
Me- Sarah-33
DH- Trevor-33

Paige 4, Abby 2

So our plan for this trip is to leave on Sunday 10/12 and drive to Manhatten Beach and hang out there for 2 nights. I got tickets to the zoo and we want to spend time on the beach. DH wants to drive to Hollywood and check out the sites.
Then Tuesday morning wake up and drive to DL and check in at DLH!! We have never staied on site but I got the AP7 rate for $159. a night.
So that day I am sure we will be going to the Tinki room, Dumbo, and all the stuff the kids want to do. I am hoping the room will be ready by 3 so Abby can take a nap. I don't really have any plans on where we will eat or what ride order we will do things. We are going to eat, and do whatever we want. I don't want to overplan. But I do plan on taking it easy, swimming, and having fun at Disneyland!
Thursday night we have tickets for the Halloween party. I have never been and the kids are VERY excited!

When I first booked the trip the schedule didn't show fireworks during our trip. They had them Friday night (17th) but we were going to leave that day. So we decited to stay another day and hope to see the fireworks. Now the schedule shows fireworks on Thursday night too so we have 2 nights to hopefully see them. I am such a sap and cry every time I watch them. They are so magical!
So we check out of DLH and check in at the Hyatt for our last night. Then Saturday we will drive home. I am sure I will be ready to get home! Anyway there is my pre-trip report.
While I am in DL I plan to update this thread with pictures and what we did that day.

Your girls are so cute. I love their costumes for the ToT party. You and your husband's costumes are pretty cool too. I'll have to keep an eye out for you guys since we are actually going to the there the same night.

Are you planning to stop for ice cream at the Disney Soda Fountain while in Hollywood? It's right next door to the El Capitan theater and we really enjoyed it when we went there in June.

So I ordered this on e-bay on Thursday and I received it today. I wanted to use it like a diaper bag and it's the perfect size. The girls love it!

I made little gift baskets so the girls will have gifts left for them from Mickey and Minnie when they get into the room at DLH.

I bought some of the stuff at the Dollar store and some at the Disney store.
They will get the baskets on Tuesday
Wed- Matching princess shirts $4.99 at Disney store
Th- Small plush Disney animals in custumes (bought at Disney store) This will be the night of our TOT party.
I also have Disney Dollars I will give to them sometime. I haven't figured out when yet.

I hate the getting ready part. I love the planning and I love doing the trip I just hate the getting ready to leave process and the getting home time.

Those baskets look fun too! I want a coloring book and crayons! I think my nieces don't like to color with me, because I end up having more fun then them.

Your trip is SO close! I don't like the packing part either. I end up with a trunk full of stuff for an overnight trip...guys just don't understand.

I never thought about doing them until I started reading trip reports and saw you guys doing them and I thought how much my girls would love something like that! I just read your TR and saw the pics and the kids looked like they REALLY liked them.
