My Points is offering 500 points for booking an amtrak trip. LA to Burbank is only $3.25 Not bad for 500 points

Hmmm...but it's not that good either. 500 pts. is worth about $3.57 (based on 140pts/$ redemption).

I was trying to use the same booking I did last time (to see if it's a better price), and the site seems to be swamped right now because it timed out before the fare page loaded.

Guess I'll keep trying.

Where do you go for the points, the Travel/Vacation link? The Amtrak offer that comes up there is the same one from before and it says it can only be used once. Has anyone used it twice and received the points?

I don`t think you are supposed to get the blue pop up. I didn`t get it and on another board i go to none of them did either.

There is an offer under travel. It's different than the one before, so I assume you can do it again. It's 2000 pts for tics over $30, 500 pts for tics under $30.

They are for unreserved seats, so you never have to worry about using them or taking somebody's seat if you don't. If you order, what is it, 10 days in advance, they mail the ticket to you, so there's no extra charge.

I'll have to try the ANA to SNA again for the date mentioned. I had originally picked a different date, but never actually placed the order.

I just did it, used the dates above, and got it for $1.88. Let's hope I get the points!

Thanks for the info! I just did it and got a blue pop up. After I got the confirmation page I logged in to my amtrak account and then got the pop up for the 500 points.

I didn't REGISTER for an account, so I can't go log-in! I sure hope I get these points!!!!!! ARGH!

I didn`t register either and didn`t get the blue pop up So i emailed them my confirmation and said i didn`t get the blue pop up and i was supposed to get my points overnight for this deal .

They just emailed me back and said they credited my account and the points will show up in 5 business days

So,if anyone didn`t get the pop up email them!!

I just placed the order and got the blue pop-up window. 500 point closer to cashing out.

I tried the offer last week and did not get the pop up. I wrote to customer service on Friday and got a reply today. They said to wait 20 business days, yadda, yadda, yadda. So, now it will be a whole month before I see those points!

Why is it they make some people wait 20 days and others they give the points right away after they email them about the missing points? I have recieved the points in my account so it didn`t even take the 5 business days they said it would!

I guess it just depends on which CS Rep you get?
