My PIN is worse than a general public offer

LOL I called...so many of you had such great luck with calling...so I called. He said, "There is a PIN associated with your name!....it's for 20% off a room." Not just 20% off a value...20% off any class of resort. What the what?

Oh well.

maybe your dates are better without blockout times or you have more extended dates in the future (farther out) or perhaps you have a longer time period to make a reservation with your promotion or whatever. Also, you may be getting first crack at dates in the future before the general public has a chance. It's hard to say without all the details.

I don't think there's ever a guarantee that a pincode offer is better than a general public offer. Usually, the pincodes mean you are on the early list of a promotion.

The only PIN we've gotten is 10% off. But 10% off is better than rack rates, so we took it.

I would take 20%. For our upcoming trip that would be a savings of $715 and that's worth $715.

I guess because Disney is already offering 35% off Deluxes for "late summer" to the general public, I didn't think 20% off a deluxe was PIN worthy...but maybe during peak time, of course. And there are no blackout dates for that PIN.

I'm just jealous of all the free dining. That must be it.

I hear ya! We're going in that sliver of space that the current gp discounts don't cover. Since we're traveling with a GG the dates weren't up to us. While I understand the concept of peak season, when I go online and see hotel and restaurant availability wide open for our dates, it doesn't seem right to go at full price. We have not been the lucky recipients of the fd offer that would cover our dates so here we sit. Frustrated!

Then of course your PIN could be the one that we get all the time from Disney. You know the one that takes 0% off of the full price leaving you with less money to spend in other areas.

5% to some is better than having none
10% to some is like a dream come true
40% is like heaven

I like the room discount better for my family. We dislike having to plan our day around meals and such.

Did I mention that the first time we went to WDW as family we payed full price and DECLINED FD? The CM who made the reservation was shocked and wanted to know why we would do that. Told her that we wanted to do things on our time and since planning ADRs was not our style we will just have to pass. I wish I would have taken them up on the offer thoughidea would have used it for another family

DH rec'd a pin a couple of weeks ago via snail mail for 20% off value,moderates or deluxe resorts, in the example it listed Dec 1 thru Dec 22 for dates so we tossed it aside , we were already booked for September but were hopeing for a discount for October.

The other day we decided to just go ahead and switch to Oct at rack rate rather than wait and not be able to book where we wanted. I looked at the mailer DH had gotten again and noticed it said ask about other dates, accommodations and packages including Theme Park tickets at varying rates!
I asked the CM what dates the pin# covered he told me Oct 18 thru the end of the year, it saved me $504 off the rack rates I was prepared to pay so I was quite happy, sure I would rather have 40% but I am happy since even FD would would have only come to $551.88 for our 6 nights. 20% does not sound like much but it is almost comparable to FD-DDP at a Deluxe Resort.

We got the 5% off too. I was delighted to see a PIN and so desappointed when I saw the 5% LOL

I got the very unpopular "game on" package code email offering me rack rate at WL and AKL. Seriously -- no discount, just rack rate right off the chart.

It was later followed by a 21% "game on" package pin.
