It's pretty cool. It was horribly crowded though. I've heard that said of the Tokyo parks. I don't think I've seen as many people in WDW during Christmas. I still had fun though. People watching here is pretty interesting. I have more pics to come and Disney Sea later today. It's 12:37am here right now. I'll post more most likely when I get back to Texas later this week.

Thanks for posting. cant wait to see more.

popcorn:: count me in, too!!! (I'm envious, Mike - but happy for you at the same time.)

:rolleyes1 waiting patiently for pics!! Have a safe trip home!

Here's the day 2 teaser.

The crowd at Disney Sea was nothing compared to the mass of humanity at Disneyland yesterday. I was in line for date opening at 9am. I managed to get these rides in before 12
Indiana Jones Temple of the Crystal Skull
Raging Spirits
Journey to the Center of the Earth
StormRider
Tower of Terror
Sinbad's Storybook Voyage

then to Magic Lamp Theater for a combination live action 3D show
and lastly Under the Sea in the Mermaid Lagoon Theater a live action show performed almost entirely in the air, very cool.

The nighttime BraviSEAmo! show is pretty incredible.

I have to ask Mike...I know you are having fun and all, do you have to have an interpreter to get around or can you survive on your own with just English?

Good question good question.

I would just walk around saying "Hai Karate" to everyone I got crose to. I may never find the bathroom...but it would be fun to watch the faces rook at me rike a freakin American retard.

What a great trip Mike !! Thanks for sharing :thumbsup2

I have no interpreter and speak no Japanese. It really hasn't been that big of a problem. Communication can be slow at times and I have not had a real conversation with anybody outside phone calls home in 3 days. Menus in the majority of restaurants around Tokyo have pictures and English descriptions on the menus. Sometimes finding the place isn't that easy because for the most part the signs are not in English and the addressing system in Japan is pretty convoluted. I haven't even tried to figure that one out. I've only used the JR system trains here and getting around is really easy. Stops are identified in English. Rush hour in Tokyo is an attraction all to itself. The trains are packed, and I mean sardine like packed. Tokyo station is huge and at rush hour it is just a sea of people.

One really noticeable thing about the parks was the lack of diversity in guests. I'm used to seeing a huge variety of people when visiting WDW. Not quite the same here. I probably came across less than a few dozen people that were obiviously foreign guests in the 2 days I spent at the parks.

This pic was taken in Disneyland on Monday at roughly 11am local time. It gives you an idea of the crowd level that day.
