I've made my FastPass+ reservations. It was pretty easy. I understand my annual pass (on the plastic card) should also work during out stay. I'm wondering if I can use it to get additional (traditional) fastpasses. I usually work the fastpass system to the max, only having 3 FastPass+ options is a little bit of a drawback for me.

I had a long conversation w a website support CM about fast pass plus and magic bands. We are staying at AKL and were offered the option of using them, but I thought we were not eligible due to using Armed Forces salute tickets. Turns out we can use them and she said several times that because they are in test mode, we will be able to do BOTH fast pass plus and "regular " fast passes. (Will have to use our ticket to get those). I'm super excited to be testing this, but a little bummed that we can't make fast pass plus choices until we activate our tickets down there. But she assured me that because such limited numbers of people are testing the system, I should still have no problems getting our fast pass plus choices.

Ooooh I want a neat gadget!

We are staying at Shades of Green in September, not sure if SOG guests will get these. We are also doing the Armed Forces Salute tickets, which we wont be buying until we arrive. So I dont even think we are "in" Disney's system yet so no way we'll be getting the offer.
So cool though! I'll be sure to look for park-goers wearing them and see how they like them.

How do these work with Parking? Both at the resorts and at the parks.

With the plastic cards you could pop them in the barrier at your resort.

When we were at AKL earlier this month they had a touch pad where the pop in thing used to be- after staring at it for prob 2 mins the security guard yelled over to just tap my room key, so I'm assuming it would be just tap your band, lol!

Thanks for the info. I'm an AP too and was trying to figure out how that would work with a magic band. Though my AP is still the paper card. The plastic ones came out like two weeks after I renewed mine.

Be assured, you aren't the only person that had problems with it. It took me a bit to convince my dad that he just needed to tap the card instead of swiping.

Your speaking to the choir, anything new my husband will start having problems with it. He's a bit technology challenged, took a day to convince him to give the magic bands a shot.

I don't even want to contemplate trying to convince my dad. He refuses to wear anything like that. I'm hoping we can still use a key card for him for when we go in May. I wasn't sure if the Magic band was optional or not.

I know we will be using both when we leave in a week, but hopefully that option will still be there for guest that are old school like that in May....

My concern too at first, and clashing with my outfits planned for my outings,Lol... Hopefully not so bad, but they are comfortable, I must say... and not signing for purchases.... just over 50.00 will need a pin....

It's actually all purchases that require a PIN! I just came back from a stay and I had a couple of purchases that were just bottles of water or a snack and those required PIN entry. So, I would say it's pretty secure.

I wonder if you can reuse them. We tend to go down about twice a year and it would make more sense to just change the reservation on the band instead of issuing new ones.
