So I have a mini website dedicated to my photography.
Here's the link....My Photography

I need feedback...Please comment in this post about the pictures you see on my website. Every photo on the site was taken by me...

site looks good - clean and nice design.

your about page isn't selling your services well enough - don't be "just a hobby" - talk about your passion and what you can do for customers who use your service - establish your own credentials quickly and then focus on potential customers.

Work on search optimizing your site - page titles, Headers, keywords, etc.
Your current page title is: NJ Photography MK - Home.
Think in terms of what people could be searching for on google, example: affordable NJ photographer.

Use google's free keyword planner to get an idea of what keywords are highly searched and how competitive they are. You should have a list of words or phrases that you want to rank for - work them naturally into the copy of your website.
The larger point here is that anyone searching for "NJ Photography MK - Home" is probably a friend or relative that already knows you.

And pick some social media sites to promote your photography website and services - Facebook, Pinterest, Flickr - think of these sites as the "highway" of the internet - web search bots are up and down them all the time - by linking to your website from them, you create off ramps to your little website that would otherwise never be found by search engines. And before you can even rank in searches, you have to be found by them.

Your profile said you're a young, trained artist - the internet, social media, and connection economy presents a huge opportunity for you to make something for yourself - don't go half hearted into it. good luck.

I think you need to clean up the words on the front page. You state how they are your photos twice and then make reference to them again.

Are you interested in selling photography services?

Where's the Disney shots? With the name LuvOfDisney I thought maybe we would see some from the parks?

The photos look nice. Good luck with the site.

Before I say anything I have two questions.... Is your site really just showcasing your work or are you trying to work professionally? How honest and in depth do you want the feedback?

Don't use Weebly. It's an SEO nightmare.

Ugh such a nightmare :(

The name is sort of meh, if I was looking for a photographer, I'd never remember that. I'd want something memorable. The initials at the end are just odd. I'd never remember them and NJ Photography is going to be difficult to really form a Brand around.

Is the weird torn photos yours or did a premade layout do that to them?

I've always found selective coloring/weird frames to be a huge sign of "I just bought a dSLR and will now make a photography business)

You need your own domain. They're cheap. You can get some through Hover.com for cheap, great company and they provide Free WhoIs privacy (You want this!) It's also easy to use. Get it, you won't regret it.

Favicon should be your brand logo.

Your About Me needs an overhaul. (I totally get that these suuuuck.. Im still working on mine.) You should include a photo of yourself. You're a photographer, we want to see you not a creepy butterfly/moth/mothra)

Don't use the word "pictures" use the word "art" "photographs"

The font isn't the best choice. It looks very basic and doesn't match. Find something stylish

Use either Megan or your Brand name, don't necessarily mix it. Instead of "Megan's Photos" Use Brand

Your Social media needs some attention

Your Twitter name is a bit too long. It eats up a lot of characters if someone was going to mention or reply to you. Use something shorter. Don't use Megan as the name and your brand as the handle. It's confusing.

Tweet more. Follow some Photography accounts, Get active. You should have a Facebook page as well. And an active user of it.

As far as the photos go, you definitely aren't bad. Just nothing really caught my attention. I was distracted by the selective coloring so much I couldn't even see much story to the photos. It really looked like every photo had selective coloring or heavy photoshopping and just looked weird.

Some of the balance was off, I couldn't tell what I was supposed to be seeing.

Pick up some books, photograph what you love. Play around as much as possible. Focus on your photography and then down the road worry about Photoshop.

I'd like to hear Photo_chick's thoughts :D
