And the telemarketers who won't take "no" for an answer. Why don't I want their product/special/super solar powered alien blaster with bonus swiss army knife? One of them, after I said "No" said "Don't you want to save money?". I said "Nope, not interested in saving money" [/B]

but you ARE saving money!!--- you're not buying their junk!!

My husband once said to a home remodeler: "No, we wouldn't be interested in a free roof and paint estimate. We've pretty much decided to let our house completely fall apart around us!"

Sales people can be the worst! Esp the door to door ones. About a week and a half ago, we had somebody come to the door. I'd just put DS down for a nap and hoped to god the insistent ringing of the doorbell wouldn't wake him up. I go to the door and open it just a crack. I peep out at the guy in the suit holding a clipboard.
"Hi I'm blahblahblah with SuperXityBlastity Pest Control. Did you know your neighbors the Dogpooheads just used our service and if you use our service,you'll get a discount when your neighbors use us too."
I glared at him.
"I'm sorry..I'm not interested." I started to close the door but he had to keep talking.
"But lots of people are having problems with spiders and ants this year. Aren't you having problems with spiders and ants?" he says as he looks at my front porch which is covered in spiderwebs everywhere because I LIKE spiders.
"No..I'm not. KThx.Bye."
"But..what are you having problems with then? Termites?" he says, looking rather hopeful.
"No..you know what I'm having problems with?"
"What?" he says earnestly,still hoping I'll buy his pitch.
"Annoying salespeople.Kthx.Goodbye!" and I shut the door. I'm sure he was puzzled but it got rid of him rather fastlike.

I'm off to the mall today too! Don't make eye contact, stare straight ahead, and make a beeline for whatever store you plan to shop in. That sometimes works for me, if they aren't too pesky!

I've heard that Tommy Hilfiger comforters are on sale today! I've wanted one for awhile.

I hate going to the mall as it is, so I find the "nail buffing" people really annoying. What is it with the accent anyway?

The guy that tried to sell me the nail care kit had a very strange accent. He caught me completely off guard and before I knew it he was holding my hand buffing one nail. Next he is telling me that he is training the girl that's with him and because "I'm so special" he will lower the price. He tried to whisper the price in my ear and that is when I told him that I wasn't interested in buying it. Then he got all snobby and looked at me up and down with disgust and told me he couldn't believe I wouldn't pay $19 for the kit!

Think about if, if they didn't approach customers to sell their "goods", nobody would approach their stand.

Do you think it's gotten worse because of the "Do not call" list? (I'm on it!!!!) I mean, maybe they have to look for other avenues to sell their crap.
