My Parents Gave US the World! A Poly Dream PTR - April 2012**UPDATE 4/10/12 pg 10**

Ah, I tried to buy the lanyards with the zippered pouches on line too, but they unfortunately do not ship to Canada. I know we will find something handy when we are there for DD anyways. I will just keep my tickets etc in my purse or backpack.

I'm in Ontario and got them shipped no problem. I used the seller jennie_discounts and didn't have any problems. I got 4 diff. designs - one for each of us. Here's the link to their store...

Hope that helps.

Hey Dave - Are you going to be updating on the Dis while you guys are there? I will I think. We are both pretty darn busy, but I am sure my 9yo DD would love to swim with another little girl, even if there is a bit of an age difference. We shall see if we bump into one-another. Will you have a LGMH with you? I am sending DH to Home Depot to get a couple for our group. I'll just explain to my parents what the signifigance is so they don't get all confused if someone approaches us. :rotfl: And if we don't get a chance to have a Dis-Meet, at least we can see if we photo-bombed each other's pics in our TR's!!! :lmao:

I think that's a great idea on having a chance to Dis-meet! Our DD loves playing with older girls. We'll have to line up our schedules next to each other and see where we overlap at the Poly. But yes, I'm thinking about doing a live report on the DIS while we're there and will be frequently checking out the April boards and probably posting. I've been sooo hooked on the Boards that past few months, I don't think I could quit cold turkey even when I'm at Disney :goodvibes We can alway PM each other too. We've got 53 days to figure it out :woohoo:

I've been thinking about getting a few LGMHs from Home Depot. Like you, I'll have to explain to the rest of the gang just what the heck I'm doing with them. :rotfl2:

Charity and Dave ~ maybe we'll see you at the pool, too! I'll be the one with 3 wild little girls who is on the verge of pulling all my hair out, lol. Well, just 2 wild little girls, the baby is still sweet ~ hahahaha!!

Awesome! You, me and auprincess (I can't remember your name - but I want to say Stevie?) should try and get the kids together for a swim! And we can just sit and drink something frosty and cool I think......or who knows, I may be sliding to my hearts content and you'll have to drag me out of the pool away from the kids. :lmao:

Can you say pool-side Lapu-Lapu? I hear they help with maintaining sanity while on vacation in DW. ;) We will definitely have to try and work something out everyone. Maybe we can start a 3-person PM and compare schedules and see where we can fit it in?

That sounds like a good plan! I gotta be careful with the Lapu-Lapus ;) Stevie, let us know what your week itinerary is and we can see what day lines up! Or you could start a PTR like we did and we can figure things out from there ;)

just catching up and i'm not sure how i overlooked this but are you going to be at MK for your 2nd trip on the 27th?? Or did I read that wrong? If so - that's our FIRST park day and we will be at MK as well :thumbsup2 it will be a rope drop til around 2 or 3pm day for us though whereas it's a later day arrival for you.

just noticed you havn't been on here since like Feb 21st. Did you get lost?? or are you plans all done already??

Nope, I am leaving DW on the 21st and who knows WHEN I'll be going back. :sad1:

And yeah, I think I AM pretty much done my planning!

We called the Poly yesterday and confirmed the type of coffee maker they have, and also called Garden Grocer and ordered 32 bottles of water, some Pelligrino for Dad, and juice, muffins, chips etc for quick snacks on the go! Garden Grocer called me within the hour to confirm our order! Great customer service thus far. And when the Head of Mousekeeping at the Poly said "Have a magical day!!" when we ended our call, I got SOOO excited! :wizard:

Better late than never :) Your plans look great. So excited for you to stay at the Poly and share this with your parents and daughter. You'll remember so much more once you get there and get back into the swing of things. I had such a great time and can't wait to hear all about your trip when you get back!

I think you are smart to have just the QS dining plan. Captain Cooks was incredible! You have to try the nachos. They might even be just a snack credit...not sure because we were OOP all week. But they are delish. And if you feel like a sit down sometime, try Kona. They aren't usually so packed that you can't get in. And YUM! We didn't do O'Hana because I just thought it would too loud and crazy for our son this trip. And we were never sorry with the other great choices at the Poly. Contempo Cafe over at the Contemporary had some really good choices as well.

Fun fun fun! I hope you have a wonderful time!

Joining in too ! :goodvibes

We're april Diser's too ! :thumbsup2 We're doing a split stay between Give Kids the World Village and Caribbean Beach resort.

Your plans all look wonderful! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the tip about Kona. I was wishing we had at least one ADR the week, but my parents were adamant that we not be tied down. sounds like I may be able to make one while there which would be nice. :goodvibes. Thanks for subbing in! I will hopefully have more updates in the days to come.

Hey everybody! Sorry I have been so MIA these last few weeks. Life has gotten VERY busy for me and well, let's face it, I'm so OCD, most of my planning is done already! :lmao:

The only things that I am still sort of uncertain about are my waterpark days. As you know, my previous plan was to do Typhoon Lagoon on Saturday, our arrival day (our flight gets in at around 11:30 am, so we'll have lots of time to swim and slide and go back to the hotel for rest) and then do Blizzard Beach on Monday afternoon after doing 3 attractions at Epcot Future World.

Well.....I have been really concerned that we won't enjoy BB as much as TL, so I think we are going to just do BB on arrival day. My reasoning for this is, it's a Saturday, and not just any Saturday, but the last Saturday of Easter week! So the waterparks are going to be B-U-S-Y! And I'd rather just have the ability to sit on the sand and let DD swim and play in the more laid back wave pool etc than at Typhoon Lagoon, where she wants to snorkel with the sharks and do the Crush n Gusher etc. We will enjoy ourselves MUCH MORE at TL on a slower Monday I think than on a superbusy Saturday.

So, now that those two days have been switched about, our only other "change" is the transportation issue from Epcot Future World to Typhoon Lagoon. We were thinking of just taking our swim stuff with us to EFW, then catching a bus from their to TL, but it seems there aren't any direct busses there anyways.....so, we'd have to catch a bus to another hotel anyways, then another bus to TL. Wondering, since we are staying at the Poly and we are basically staying at the TTC, if we should just go to EpcotFW for the morning, then catch the Monorail to the TTC @ the Poly, get changed at our hotel (maybe eat lunch at Captain Cooks, instead of waiting in the ridiculous line at TL for lunch) and then catch a bus from the Poly to TL. What do you think? :confused3

Not too sure what to suggest about transportation sorry - we don't normally use it as we always have a rental and stay offsite but i do like your choice of Typhoon Lagoon :thumbsup2 DH and DD14 prefer Blizzard Beach b/c it has more thrill slides but I'm not a slider and don't care to be surrounded by white cement (aka snow) when i'm trying to relax by the water so Typhoon Lagoon is my top choice. It's tropical, has the lazy river, the wave pool and I just prefer being over there. If you had someone that was really gung ho about the more thrill slides I'd say go with BB but I don't think you do.

Thanks! Yeah, I am not a thrill-slide person, and my parents (who are both reaching their 60's) are not either. 9yoDD is, but she can only do so much on her own, KWIM? I am thinking it would fun to check out BB on our arrival day just for the sake of saying we saw it, but Typhoon Lagoon will definitely be a better place to just explore and enjoy for the better park of a day!

Yep, thats what I would do. Of course, anything that includes lunch at Capt Cooks is what I would do ;)

But really, it probably won't take you that much more time to do it that way and you won't have to cart your swim stuff all around Epcot.

OH MY GOSH YES!!!! :thumbsup2 I am VERY ready. Time has flown by these last couple of months to be honest. We are mega-organizing and packing now. Starting to wash all of our clothes and sort them in suitcases. Right now, our only problem seems to be people keep buying clothes for DD to take on the trip, and now she has enough clothes for 13 days instead of 8! LOL

oh wow! LOL a whole new wardrobe plus more hey?? Lucky girl :thumbsup2

I'm at the 3 week mark tomorrow so I think it's about time i started pulling out clothes to match things up and see what else is needed :)

Yeah, she's mega spoiled. But very deserving at the same time, so it's nice to see her so well loved and taken care of by her grandparents. I got some new clothes bought for me today too, so that was nice!! My mom picked me up a nice skort, denim capris, and black cargo capris from Reitmans, and three tops at Walmart. We don't have much shopping in our small town, so this was a great haul for such a quick shopping trip!

I would say you should definitely start peiceing together outfits, cause I thought I had way more than I actually did. Thank god my mom bought me some stuff, or I'd have had to take $$ from our Disney jar for new clothes!

Thanks for the permission to start picking outfits. LOL> Sometimes it's nice to get a little nudge from someone else so you don't feel like your doing it too soon. haha
Sooo, I laid them out last night :) I now have it all ready and in a pile. It's crazy that I have my clothes set out just under 3 weeks before my trip but I noticed that I still have enough in my wardrobe that it won't bother me too much. I just left out some layering tanks that I will use between now and then.
Feels good to have that taken care of :goodvibes

You must have everything pretty much ready to go now hey??
