We were in Orlando last week. We went to the new Christian Theme Park, called "The Holy Land Experience". It was $55 for us to get in. (3 adults and 1 child....kids 4 and under are free.) This included $8 off with a coupon we had.
I found the park to be quite realistic and interesting. You walk through the ancient streets of Jerusalem. It was pretty neat. They built the tomb where Jesus was laid to rest, and also the Great Temple. We watched a movie entitled the Seed of Promise. It was quite scary at times, (for children). The movie showed different scenes reenacted from the Bible, and how we got from the beginning of time, to where we are now. It ended with the promise of eternal life in Heaven with our Lord. It was a very interesting, but short, movie.
All in all...the idea of the park is awesome, to me. But unfortunately, 2 main areas of it are not finished yet...so there was not a whole lot for us to see. I think we were only there for an hour or so. I think the creators of this new park, are on the right track. I just wish I had gone a few years from now, when it was completely finished and a little more "polished". But I am glad that we went, because I really wanted to see what it was all about. I think if we give it another year, it is really going to be something beautiful.
Any other opinions, on this park?
