Well I was going to at least wait another few weeks before I wrote this but with some encouragement I might as well do it now hehe!

I'm going in 60 days!!

:cool1: I’m SOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited!!! :cool1:

The Cast
Me – Orla (21)
– A Disney fanatic as long as I can remember!
DM - Hannah
– The Mammy – Always had a love for Disney but never crossed her mind to go to DLP so as a special treat I’m bringing her on a little trip!

:goodvibes

Okies.. We’re flying from Dublin at 6:50am and arrive in Paris at 9:40 (Their time).

I’m the only one bringing luggage so hopefully we won’t be to long waiting and we can hop on the bus soon enough and head to the magic!

We’re not expecting our room to be ready when we arrive; we’re staying in HNY btw.
So we’re going to head somewhere for some lunch and then head straight to main street, I’ll let my mam take in all the magic of main street and then head onto fantasy land, we might not do too much on our first day, but hopefully the first ride will be peter pan I want to go somewhere nice for our first meal, not too sure where yet though!..
All ideas welcome!

All my trips to DLP have been amazing, but I think this one will be the best!!
1) I can’t wait to go with my mam, the 2 of us will have ball together!
& 2) I usually have my little cousin with me and I don’t really get to have much of a say in what we do because she’s the boss so this time.. for the first time I can do things my way.. and il get so much more done!

Well i'll leave it at that for this week.. i still have 8 more weeks to update this with plans and ideas hehe.

Sounds like a super special trip with just you and you Mummy. 8 weeks left is a long time of DISing before you go so you'll have plenty of recomendations for you meals.

I'd advise Cafe Mickey, although I haven't been there yet I will be there in 27 days :woohoo:

Since this is an adult trip, my recommendations for dining are:

Walts
Silver Spur
Steakhouse
For a real treat - California Grill
For princesses - Auberge de Cindrillon
For characters - Innoventions (I think Cafe is too crowded)
For fun - Annette's

Is Innoventions better for children too? I've never been for a character meal but we will be taking Kacee as long as he isn't scared by them!

thanks for idea's guys, much appreciated!

Sounds like a great trip...look forward to hearing more of your plans..

Yaaay! A great pre-TR, Walts is a lovely meal for your first day. That's what I did for Jacks first trip and it was nice to escape the hustle and bustle. :)

So my vote is Walts! :)

Great start to your pre-trippie :)

As you say your mam loves Disney but has never been to DLP I would suggest Walts.
There is something magical about eating in the park and the amount of Disney detail as well as lovely dining of Walts would be something I'm sure you both would enjoy.

Is Innoventions better for children too? I've never been for a character meal but we will be taking Kacee as long as he isn't scared by them!

For kids, either is good. Cafe does pizza, pasta and the like, but it can be hectic, and some unruly people sometimes try to push in (but has some nice Mickey touches).

Innoventions runs nearly twice the cost and has prime rib, fillet and lobster on the menu often. Hence why it's great for adults, but there are nice things for kids too. Character wise, it feels a little more civilised, but remember I am a grumpy old Disney fan.

either way, they are fun if the characters are important to you. I was just thinking as 2 adults, the OP may get more joy out of Inventions. But Capt Jack, I am sure you would love either.

My favourits are California grill (very civilised) and Inventions lots of fun with all the characters, it's nice because they come to the table to sign autographs and have their photos taken. I also love the food at Inventions, the only problem is that it all looks so scrummy that you want to try everything. We all came out feeling VERY full, they also have a lot of different choices for children too. :)

Oooo! Lovely! Can't wait to hear more of your plans!

Sounds fantastic.

Another vote here for Inventions. We've had 2 brill meals there- the food is amazing but so hard to choose what you want so you eat far too much - or I did :rotfl:

thanks for all the replies everyone :goodvibes :goodvibes

so im either gonna go with walts or inventions, thanks again, dunno where id be if it wasnt for all the help and tips from everyone on here! :goodvibes :goodvibes

:thanks:
