My non-Disney loving husband just asked me

this question.

"Don't we have a Disney vacation planned for May?" I told him we didn't and he got disappointed!

Usually I am pushing for a Disney vacation and he is making sure our passes include golf to make it a "true vacation" for him!

I can now officially claim that I have trained him!

Very nice! :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

I wish my husband would surprise me that way. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we cancelled our trip last year. But then he insisted we post-pone our trip this year as well! :headache:

I swear I am booking airfare with or without him next year. ;)

So did you tell him you can remedy that situation?

My DH would go to Disney every year, I think. Along with DD10. DD13 and I have to push for other vacations. But WDW really is a true vacation for him because he drives a semi 10 hours a day and while there he doesn't have to drive at all.

My husband (he does love Disney but hates the costs lol) saw a WDW commercial last night and looked at me and said, "it's been too long, when are we going back?" LOL!!

Apparently he forgot we were going in 3 weeks for Star Wars weekend!

You have trained your husband well!!

without missing a beat and with a straight face I'd have said "of course but not until the end of May" :rotfl2: (hehe, would need a few days to book) ;) :dance3:

Well, I did say we can still go.

The real problem this year is that we have some larger unexpected expenses coming up and *I* am the one who would prefer not to have the cost in May.

There is something seriously wrong with the above picture! We have temporarily reversed rolls!

LOVE IT!!!

My husband likes to go but I think I make him a little nuts with the whole thing. When we went last December, he said multiple times "this is it for a few years." He basically made me swear off Disney for 2012. A few weeks ago we were just sitting and chatting and he looked at me and said, "you know, I really did love Christmas there...we should do it again this year. Disney is just so easy now because it's familiar for us."

Let's just say you don't have to tell me twice. I was looking at airfare within about, ohhhhh, 5 minutes! :lmao:

I will add that we ARE planning a trip for November, so it isn't like we aren't going this year. That was already planned.

We like to do Oct./Nov. and May, but I just don't see how we can swing it without some debt this year in May and I don't want to use a CC.

My Disney-tolerating DH was the one who just convinced me to go to Disneyland next year sooner (March) rather than later (October) when I was wavering. I don't want to let him down ... :rolleyes1

my dh wasn't a disser either til he met me. He had taken his boys waaaay back in the 70's once and that was it.

Since we met, we've been going 3-4 times a year but this year we may skip because we have a trip to Hawaii planned and we are saving to build a vacation home.

Notice, tho, that i said 'May'. :D

Good for you. For those who dont' have disney loving husbands, go without them. My dd's and I have been doing it since 2004 and we love our girls only trip. Not that we dont' love daddy... but he is a beach guy. So we go to the beach each year too. :thumbsup2
