Okay so I knew I needed to loose a bit but it is really a bad feeling to have the Wii blow up my wii to a fatty! I'm borderline overweight.

I have been trying to go to the gym but with the exterme cold I haven't. I need to loose 15 lbs.

My plan is to go to the gym 3 mornings a week and do the wii fit in the evenings/weekends. Sounds great, however I work out of the home ft and am a mom ft on top! Also to be 100% honest, DH is not very supportive. He works out fanatically so he is not willing to give up time. I have to be in the gym at 5am in order to make it to work on time. I can not go after because that is when he goes. He goes on weekends too so that is out.

Has anyone been successful loosing weight with the wii fit?

The Wii Fit will work, you have to stick with it. Watch you diet too. There are plenty of in house exercise you can do without the need to go to the gym. I use dumbells for my weight training and a mini tramp for the Wii Fit run. Good luck.

Just chiming in here (not about the wii fit, sorry!) but I work FT from home and have 3 kids...no childcare. No housekeeper, etc. And I work out 60-90 minutes 5-6 days per week. You CAN do it. You just have to make it a priority. And get creative. I started running since I knew that getting to the gym every day wouldn't happen. But I saw that I could ALWAYS find 30-45 minutes for a run. And all I needed to get started was a good pair of sneakers. Then, when a window came up...off I could go. No planning, no driving, no needing to meet a schedule of an aerobics class or whatever.

And the kids? In the nicer weather, if I can't get time by myself I have them get on their bikes and they ride while I run. Not ideal...but I get my workouts in. And Exercise on Demand! TONS of 20-minute workouts. Or any exercise DVD that you like. There are lots and lots of options...but you have to make it work and make it a priority.

You will get there! Good luck!

My wii fit told me I was obese and that after I've lost 40lbs I wish it would tell me I'm just oveweight:rotfl:

I bought a Wii Fit which my kids enjoy and I would like to use but I am not interested in having it tell me I am FAT! I know I am fat and want to exercise but don't want a reminder on screen or for others to see my BMI. So can I use this to exercise and bypass the evaluation part until I am ready for it?

well after almost a week I'm now "average" or "normal" instead of overweight! I still have a way to go to hit the ideal weight but i'm having fun with it.

Yes - you can not do it - OR you can lock it - i do the body test & have to key in a passworkd so everyone else doesn't ahve access to my #s - just don't do that with them in the room. I actually like it telling me I'm obese - 'cause I'm still in denial - so it is good for me to see...

It didn't actually say FAT. It said i was overweight and drew a line, my line was right over the normal so i knew I only had a few lbs to drop. It was actually motivating. I lock it so I'm the only one that sees but I highly recommend using it. It charts your progress and shows you on a scale where you are, where you need to be etc. Honestly, I found it quite motivating and can't wait to check it again tonight!

When I want an extra slice of pizza or a cookie i think to myself "oh no, I have to get on the wii tonight"!
