My new MGM shirts....

Just wanted to share my newest creation. These are going to be our MGM shirts. Hope you can tell what they are. I made Mickey ones like it last year with the head and such. Wanted to try something creative and different. Thanks for all the tie-dye advice. Kelly

Those look awesome. How did you get the stars, moons & stuff on the middle of the hat? I would say the rest would be similar to making the Mickey head tie-dye. Is that correct? Very unique!

It is similar to the mickey heads. I just sewed the hat pattern instead of the head. Then, I bought some sponges at the dollar store and used cookie cutters to cut out the patterns and sponged the moons and stars with acrylic gold paint since it won't wash off. The shirts have been washed and dried so they are soft and all extra color is off. I drew the hat free hand since I couldn't find a big patten to trace. My DD's are excited. Hope that helps.

Yes, that helps. It looked like the stars, moons & stuff were free of paint. Now that I look closer I see the gold paint shining on them. That is really cool and I can see why your girls are excited!!!!
